  Tabanus: Dallas Morning News, October 2, 2005:

[Anton Edward] Caroe attended the University of Texas at Austin from 1944 until 1946. He transferred to Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and graduated as a Doctor of Medicine in June 1950. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, serving as a Captain during the Korean conflict. He married Patricia Ann Batchler in San Angelo on October 15, 1955. He completed a residency in Dermatology at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, La. in 1959. He moved to Arlington and opened the first dermatology practice in the mid-cities area in 1960. He maintained a solo practice and served on the medical staff of Arlington Memorial Hospital until his retirement due to illness in 1999.
