GrahamClayton: McKenzie is one of the rare group of players who have been members of the Correspondence Chess League of Australia for 50 years (1970-present). As well as playing, McKenzie was the Games editor of the 'Australian Correspondence Chess Quarterly' between 2008 and 2011.

McKenzie has an interesting view on how major CC tournaments are won by "unknown" players with engine assistance, and how this can be discouraged. He believes that no title or championship should be awarded to such players until they had submitted one or two games with annotations for publication. This would hopefully show that the player actually knew how they won the championship/title, rather than just parroting engine moves. The games would be examined by a panel of experienced players, who would determine if the player actually knew what they were doing.
