MissScarlett: Anyone know if this player was born in the UK and emigrated to New Zealand?

Stonehenge: Archives New Zealand, Passenger Lists, 1839-1973 have an arrival from Southampton (with the infamous https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Ac...) in 1969 of:

Robert Lee
Josephine Lee
Edward Lee

but Edward Lee is such a common name...

Stonehenge: I guess you want to find out if he played Karpov in Blighty in 1982?

So that's not him.

MissScarlett: Where's <Richard Taylor> when you need him!?

Richard Taylor: Yes, Edward Lee came from England, maybe around 2008 or so, not sure. I think he was a fairly strong player there. He played off and on. He beat me once. He is sharp but hasn't played for a while.
