  mifralu: Patrick Sandeman * 4 January 1842 † 29 September 1898

< Death of Mr Patrick Sandeman, Dundee.- General regret was expressed yesterday when the intimation was made that Mr Patrick Sandeman, who had been ailing for some time, had died at his residence, 2 Baxter Park Terrace. Deceased, who was 56 years of age, had been long connected with the chemical trade, and latterly conducted a very successful business as a drysalter. His quiet, gentlemanly disposition made him many friends amongst those with whom he came in contact. Mr Sandeman was one of the best chess players in the district, and had been long connected with Dundee Chess Club.>

Dundee Courier, 30 September 1898, p. 4
