1st Group Stage: + 5 (together with von Popiel and Lipke)

2nd Group Stage: Shared 4th to 6th place (this was group with the best players from the 1st group stages)

Cologne 1898 Main Tournament: 3rd place with 11 points behind Pavelka and von Batsmegyey (both 12 points)

Hannover 1902: He finished close behind the prize ranks and is said to have played beautiful games, one against Walter John which he lost though, due to a <Übreilung> (precipitance).

His greatest success was his win at the International Correspondence Tournament from 'Monde Illustre' ahead of Janowski - see Janowski vs F Malthan, 1894.
