TIHANA IVEKOVIC
(born Mar-03-1995, 30 years old) Croatia

[what is this?]

Woman FIDE Master and National Arbiter.

Ivekovic has been playing chess since she was 4 years old, has won the title of Croatian Girls Champion three times, and has been a part of the Croatian Women's Championship for several years. She's also competed internationally, including appearances at the World and European Youth Chess Championships and was a member of the Croatian women's team at the Chess Olympiad in Batumi in 2018. Ivekovic has been coaching chess for around 6 years, mainly working with children aged 7-14 and beginners (<1800 rating). She has seen her students win school championships and regional tournaments. Ivekovic also had the opportunity to be a coach for the Welsh national team at the World Youth Chess Championship

Ivekovic believes her best chess skill is calculation, capable of calculating lines very deeply when focused. As a teacher, she emphasizes patience, encourages students to admit their mistakes, and focuses on developing their calculation skills, alongside basic knowledge about openings, middlegames and endgames.
