GrahamClayton: Robert Iapinni (b December 12, 1940, Somerville, MA; d. January 16, 2016, Houston, TX).

"Robert grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts. He was drafted into the US Army in 1963 where he was recognized as a master chessplayer. Shortly after honorable discharge, he met his beloved, Lilly Taylor Monsalvo, whom he wed on December 22, 1969. Robert followed his Texas bride back home. There he received his Master's from Texas A&M University and held a rewarding career in Global Information Services for Texaco. Robert could often be found with his nose buried in a good book while listening to his good time oldies. He also loved toiling in his garden."
