Jan-15-19  BobbyDigital80: Vincent Livermore was the inspiration for Laurence Fishburne's character "Vinnie" in Searching for Bobby Fischer. I was curious if he had any games on here and surprisingly there's only one. Anyone know if there are any other published games of his somewhere? There's a documentary on YouTube called "Men Who Would Be Kings" and it features Livermore quite a bit. He seemed like an interesting guy.

perfidious: Met Vince circa 1976, by which time he was directing events for CCA. Not sure I remember him ever playing.
Dec-22-20  REDsh1ft: @BobbyDigital80 There is a 1981 new york times article on the NYC chess scene highlighting Livermore. It does not include games but is a nice piece that brings you into the scene.

Dec-22-20  Granny O Doul: @perfidious: Are you sure you aren't thinking of Vincent Moore? I'd be most surprised to learn that Vinny Livermore ever worked for CCA.

andrewjsacks: He played some speed chess off and on in about 1974-5, I believe, here and there in Berkeley.
