  GrahamClayton: Joaquin Fermoselle-Bacardi (b. 1904, Havana, Cuba; d.????)

Fermoselle-Bacardi studied medicine at the University of Havana, and graduated with the Silver Medal for highest honours from the School of Medicine at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. He specialised in parasitology and preventative medicine and taught at the University of Havana before joining the World Health Organization when he moved to Costa Rica in 1936. He returned to Havana in 1943 to serve in a variety of medical positions, before relocating to Washington D.C. in 1950 to continue work for the WHO. He retired from the WHO in 1978, and moved to Coral Gables, FL. Fermoselle-Bacardi was a long term member of various Rotary clubs and established the Miami-Granada Rotary Club in 1985.
