He arrived in New York from Liverpool aboard the SS Campania on February 17, 1900.

He lived in Cleveland, OH, 1900; Indianapolis, IN, in 1904; Columbus, OH, 1904; Cleveland, OH, 1917; Elyria, OH, 1930; Lorain, OH, 1940; and in Hudson, OH, 1950.

He was a long-time draftsman for the Thew Shovel Co., in Lorain, OH.

Not to be confused with William Murdoch.

  jnpope: The <Hudson Times> for January 13, 1950 reports: "William Murdoch, 85, a former resident of Cleveland and a long-time draftsman for the Thew Shovel Co. in Lorain, died here last night in his home at 31 Church St."
