Jan-03-03  pawntificator: This guy is Lineas Baze! He started the chess club I used to play with in Jackson, Michigan. He is the only flesh and blood human that I have played OTB that I've never beaten. But he would only ever play blitz games and I only played against him about 5 times. That's my excuse. I think he was rated about 2000. He's a lawyer now. I can't believe he's in the database! He's famous!
Jan-03-03  Samuel Maverick: Jackson, Michigan. Is that where the Braxton sisters of Georgia come from?
Jan-03-03  pawntificator: I'm not sure. Possibly, but I've never heard of it.
Jun-03-03  zalmon: Who are you, pawnfificator? You are my secret admirer.
Sep-26-03  pawntificator: Louie!!! It's me!! Isaac!! I didn't know you came in here!! Well, actually, according to your profile, you came here once, and never came again. Well, perhaps someday you will get this message. I was just searching through the database once for every chessplayer I ever knew. I was delighted to find your game in here! I wonder if you remember me. I used to come to the Cottage Inn Pizza place to play chess a few years ago. I stopped by your office one time to get you to come play chess, but we never spoke very much. If you get ever read this, go to gameknot.com and check out my profile under pawntificator. I think you would recognize me, but maybe I'm only memorable to myself. heh heh
Nov-16-03  zalmon: Dear Isaac: I did not know you moved. The chess club now gets about 8 or more people every week. The two Metts kids stopped coming, but we have about 4 other kids and about 10 adults as regulars. I highly recommend blitz games as a regular way to keep chess interesting--adds another element to the contest. Lineas
Feb-21-06  micartouse: Baze. This guy gave me my first official tournament loss. It was a G-30 in January, and since it was my first tournament I was very nervous. I made it a point not to look at anyone's rating before games, but I could sense his strength right away and just tried to make a game out of it. While I spent about 29 minutes, he barely used half his time and read a Chess Life magazine between moves!

He was a nice guy though; I hope I get a chance to play him again. Maybe next time I can give him more of a challenge.
