  Domdaniel: Keith Allen, originally from Bangor in Northern Ireland, has lived in the Isle of Man for years - where he is involved on the organizational side of the annual tournament, one of the world's leading opens.

I remember drawing with him in a Dublin event in the late 1970s. I also recall his last-round heroics against Philip Short in an Irish championship game, where Allen held a draw with Rook against Queen, denying Short the title.
