Erwin Carag was a former Philippine National 14 years old and under (U14) Chess Champion. He gained the National Master (NM) title in the 1991 Far East Bank (FEBTC) International Open Championship. He was one of the founding directors of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) when it was set up in 2000. Carag was an International Arbiter.
