Visma is a provider of business Software and IT Solutions with offices in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Romania.

The series gives some Swedish and foreign youth elite players the opportunity to battle experienced mid-strong GMs, and conquer at home standards for the heaviest titles in chess – International Master and International Grandmaster (norms).

Since its inauguration in 2013, the Visma International tournament has been played as a closed GM/IM-Group and two closed IM/FM-groups!

A competition build in the tradition of the <Gausdal Classics> series from 2001 - 2008 (a certain Magnus Carlsen had his entry in a invitation tournament at international level in April 2001 in the closed IM-group of Gausdal Classics, invited by Hans Olav Lahlum).

Oct-22-19  waustad: He’s had a poor start to the Braunschweig GM norm tournament, going 0/2, including a loss to Melanie Lubbe.
