Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-29-04  ConLaMismaMano: Carolina Lujan recently became a male IM, is the second woman in latin america to gain that title, after another argentinian player, Claudia Amura. Carolina is very young and probably will become a GM. In the top 20 Girls in FIDE, Lujan should be there but doesn't appear, the Argentinian federation complained a month ago.
Aug-05-04  molinov: Carolina Lujan has become a GM.
Aug-05-04  SBC: She became an IM in Feb. and a GM in Aug.?

That's great!

Jan-10-06  Durcet: Carolina Lujan is neither a GM nor an IM; she is a WGM with a FIDE rating of about 2350.
Mar-19-06  Cogano: Would someone be kind enough to post some kind of biography about Ms. Lujan, however brief? Thanks much. Take very good care all & have a great day. Cheers to all! :)
Jul-18-06  percyblakeney: Lujan's home page (in Spanish):

http://www.carolinalujan.com/partid...

Jul-18-06  A.Alekhine: How old is she?
Jul-18-06  e4Newman: my espanol isnt the best, but her webpage says may 13 '85 - making her 21 of course

interesting her bday is 1 day before me and W.Steinitz

btw - nice handle <A.Alekhine>

Jul-18-06  Karpova: <Carolina Lujan recently became a male IM,>

but she's still a woman, isn't she?

Jul-19-06  BIDMONFA: Carolina Lujan

Mar-14-08  Udit Narayan: Nice pic:

Mar-04-09  Augalv: <Nice pic> Indeed.
Mar-04-09  Augalv: Not her highest but with a Fide rating of 2364, she continues to be at the top of the Argentine female players' list.

<Carolina is very young and probably will become a GM.>

Gaining the GM title still a pending issue for her.

May-09-09  zdigyigy: Esta simpatiquisima no cabe ninguna duda.

scormus: Hell, I might have guessed I'd find an Argentine player called Lujan here.
Apr-09-13  waustad: I looked at the website for the Argentine championship and didn't see her in the women's section. She's playing in the men's/open/absolute section and is at +2 in a tie for 4th through 16th after 6 rounds. http://www.chess-results.com/tnr976... It's kind of confusing because they forgot to change the year to 2013 in the header for the website.
