Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-17-05  Resignation Trap: I prefer the real Boleslavsky, myself!
Oct-17-05  lopium: Maybe more beautiful, true. I said maybe.
Sep-26-06  AdrianP: Why Jevgenyij rather than Evgeny (see e.g. Evgeny Bareev )

Why Boguszlavskzij rather than Boguslavsky (see e.g. Isaac Boleslavsky )

Sep-26-06  korger: <AdrianP> Boguszlavszkij is a Hungarian resident, his name written this way reflects the Hungarian spelling.
Sep-26-06  AdrianP: <korger> I see, thanks. So his name has been transliterated from Russian -> Hungarian -> English, rather than just Russian -> English (I'm assuming he's a native Russian?).
Mar-24-07  Plato: Is he the originator of the Bogus-Indian Defense?
Mar-24-07  DutchDunce: More likely the Nkfhricdgshcjxbneubviyl Pglwroghdxstdrghreifhf Defense.
Mar-24-07  Plato: Incorrect. The inventor of the Nkfhricdgshcjxbneubviyl Pglwroghdxstdrghreifhf Defense was Bob Smith.

But that line has long since been refuted.

Mar-28-07  EmperorAtahualpa: <AdrianP> No it has just been transliterated from Russian to Hungarian, nothing more. :)
