Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-13-07  pawn to QB4: Wot! No bio? I'll have to try myself. David Adams, lawyer, cricketer, always good company and stands his round - and what more can you say of any man? Described to me as the first among Sheffield players, in the triple sense that he was for many years the best player, there's still no finer gentleman and he's first in alphabetical order. Top British masters occasionally spot the grading and ask, "hang on, who's he?", possibly scared it might be Mickey's smarter, younger brother. Well, no, but I'll take this chance to brag that I have scored +2 -5 against a chap who typically inflicts this sort of thing D M Adams vs S Ledger, 2001 on us harmless locals.
Dec-25-09  pawn to QB4: Hi Prince Chi - kind offer, but maybe the page of a chap who's a very decent chess player and an even better prosecuting lawyer's not the best place to post?
Dec-25-09  pawn to QB4: ...and he's gone; blast, there goes my chance of making a fortune by sending my account details off to wherever it was. Have to carry on scraping a living here at work on Christmas Day with occasional breaks at the computer. Merry Christmas to all.
May-31-14  zanzibar: FIDE lists his dob as 1948. Here it's given as more exact, but 1949. Who's right?
