Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-05-20  Alan McGowan: The Deutsche Schachzeitung of May 1972 said Hallbauer died 13 April, just before his 69th birthday. A search at ancestry.com shows birth of Paul Friedrich August Wilhelm Hallbauer 8 May 1903 at Swinemünde, then Germany, but later Świnoujście, Poland. He was involved with chess in the Hamburg area before becoming a member of the Wedding chess club in Berlin in the 1930s.
