May-19-03  evertoexcel: The first loser in modern chess history. Maybe I should start a chess club called "Vinoles' Avengers" for weak novices like me :)
Jun-15-04  offramp: Eveb if he could catch up on theory Sr Vinoles would probably be beaten by all the major players of today. He never took his chess seriously.
May-28-06  jackmandoo: Just think, during the time this guy was around America didnt even exist, there wasnt anything there but trees and grass as far as the eyes could see, nothing else. I dont even think the Indians were invented yet. Thank goodness for Christopher Columbus, without him we would be in big trouble right now. (Because we couldnt find America)
May-30-06  jackmandoo: We should have a day to commemorate that man, we should call it, "Christopher Day".
Dec-05-06  2021: <jackmandoo> We have Columbus day.
Dec-06-06  2021: <jackmandoo>Plus, I don't see any point talking about Christopher Columbus as you can see on the bottom, "This forum is for this specific player." But, I guess you can talk about whatever you want.

technical draw: After this game the first PGN collection was made. It contained, well, one game. Vinyoles then wrote, "My Great Predecessor".
Oct-30-07  lopium: "He was a co-author of the Catalan pem 'Scachs d'amor' written around 1475." The word pem should be poem I think. may you check it?
