REZA REZAEI
(born Feb-18-1956, 69 years old) Iran

Reza Rezaei finished 2nd in the 1993 Iranian Championship. His other tournament results include 2nd= in the 1991 & 1992 Tehran Championships, 4th= at Debrecen international tournament 1992 and 1st at Tehran open 1994. He won the Iranian league with the team of Bahman Cultural Center in 1994. At the same year, he represented Iran at Moscow Olympiad, and played for Tehran at the Asian Cities Team Championship in Kuala Lumpur. Besides, he has been the coach of the Iranian national team, trainer to several notable Iranian players and secretary-general of Iran Chess Federation. Rezaei is a professional book translator and has won several translation awards. He has translated numerous chess books to Persian and worked as a columnist, analyst and editor-in-chief of chess magazines. A tournament named "Master Reza Rezaei Cup" is held every year in Sari, his birth city, as a tribute to him.
