Dec-02-07  whiteshark: <Joe is right> here, no doubt.
Mar-12-13  Abdel Irada: When I saw the name <J. Dowd> attached to the Puzzle of the Day, I briefly wondered if it referred to my daughter's midwife, Judy Dowd.

But then I remembered that Judy had been designated as a "fish from Level Three" in my daughter's early Bugdom-character nicknaming phase, and since he'd won his only game in the database, there was no reason to assume he was a fish.

FSR: <Abdel Irada> I thought of Maureen Dowd myself. I have a picture of the two of us taken at the first Yearly Kos convention. http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums... She wrote about the convention in her New York Times column, and happened to be sitting at my table that day. (This was during the GWB regime. She complimented me on my "POLITICAL PRISONER IN TRAINING" T-shirt.) While we were setting up the pose, I brushed against her breast slightly. It was an accident, I swear.
Mar-12-13  Abdel Irada: A likely story.

But then, I'm not the one you need to convince, am I?

FSR: <Abdel> I don't think I need to convince anyone. It wasn't a big deal at all. If she noticed it, she gave no indication.
Mar-12-13  Abdel Irada: Ah. But if your wife ever reads your <chessgames.com> posts, you may have some explaining to do.

Mar-12-13  Abdel Irada: And Oscar should know.
