  Richard Taylor: Court was also the NZ Correspondence Champion at least once. He died possibly needlessly of an asthmatic attack. Certainly he died too young and not too long after he was NZ Champion.
Nov-11-14  ljfyffe: Correspondence champion in 1958, 1959,1962(sole winner),1966.

  Jonathan Sarfati: Pity that salbutamol (aka albuterol or Ventolin) had only just been patented the year before he died of asthma, and was not readily available for another few years yet.

It's sadly similar to the loss of some great games by Capablanca because there were no antihypertensive drugs available in his lifetime.
