YASUJI MATSUMOTO
(born Nov-20-1933, died Jan-05-2003, 69 years old) Japan

[what is this?]
Formed and funded the Japan Chess Association (JCA) in 2003. He played in four chess Olympiads, 1970, 1972, 1978, and 1982) representing Japan, usually on board 2. On January 5, 2003, Matsumoto was playing in a chess tournament in New York when he fell down. An ambulance took him to the hospital, where he died.
