GrahamClayton: Radaikin was at the centre of a scandal in the early 1950's, when he had published in several US chess publications two brilliancies that were allegedly played against Charles Bagby in a San Francisco inter-club match and against Arthur Bisguier in a small match in New York city.

Upon checking, there was no inter-club match played at the time of the Bagby brilliancy, while Bisguier wasn't even in New York at the time of the second brilliancy, as he was serving in the US Army at the time.

The games apparently were typical of the quick victories that you would see played at any club, and it seems that Raidikin found the game scores, and decided to promote them as his own victories.

I have been unable to find the game scores, nor any punishment or sanctions that Raidikin may have faced for his duplicity.
