There was a chap called René Quinault, who lived in Marylebone at the time.

  Tabanus: Right. 1901 census has only one Quinault: RenĂ©, 44, Plateman Central Hotel, born in France. Wife Ellen 44 and five children Arthur 15, William 14, Frederick 11, Florence 9, Charles 5. Living in 6 Byron Street, Marylebone.

He is Head Plateman in 1911. 1939 census has him born 23 Feb 1856, retired plateman, widowed, 41 Harewood Ave, Marylebone. Ellen died 1913, Rene died "Jan-Feb-Mar 1947".

  Tabanus: Sarah Florence Mary Quinault. She married as late as 1944 in Marylebone, d. 1977.

As the source for the Lasker game is <La Strategie 1904 p. 46>, I think there's a good chance of that. Enough to make the change.
