But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.
In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience.As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes,but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves,but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

We certainly enjoyed a silent new years eve and are both appreciating the first snow that emerged 5-6 days ago, but unfortunately has started to melt today ): But that doesn´t prevent me from following a danish weekend tournament of chess. Actually I enjoy it more, than all the nearperfect moves made by the top-ten ! All the best to you in good old Iasi, to Maria as well, and may your working days be celebrated as much as possible !

Feb-22-25		virginmind: Hi my dear <moronovich> and I hope you're fine.It's been some time since we last talked, for which I am sorry. Its quite cold in here, about usual for this time, only that we really didn't have much of a winter this year, so it feels somewhat strange. Almost no snow to speak of. I hope at least you had a lot of snow at your place. I keep losing at online chess, reaching, I believe, an all time low in rating. But I guess my time will come, and for this I need a jump of 250 points (yes, this is how much I've lost). I dont feel more tired, I cannot say I concentrate less, I start playing as usual, only that I lose. This must not be overlooked. Other than that I'm fine. How about you? Any special news of late? Not much from my part. Hugs to you and Hannah.

Feb-23-25		moronovich: Good morning, my dear <virginmind> ! Great to hear from you again. And funny : just as I was thinking upon you and how you were doing, your kibitz ticked in ! Not any significant news from here too. The days look quite the same, but Hannnah and I are having many fine moments in the company of each other. The prespring is moving on and we have come from minus 8 degrees to plus 8 in a few days. Small beatifull flowers here and there, signals that the winter is over. I dont follow chess that closely. Age and too many tournaments, I guess. Actually I prefer to see danish tournaments, with lower rated players, with whom I know/knew some of the players, back in the days. But the bicycling season has started and this is my biggest passion. Really looking forward to the classics that start next month. Sorry to hear about your chess, but dont you think the wind will change in a few months ? And if you have the time and energy there is always the good old advice : Excercise tactics, tactics and tactics ! Anyway, I wish you the best of "luck" in your comback ! I played chess all the time, and all I can say about the results is that they are not encouraging. I did tend to fare a bit better, but not as I would like. I also followed to some extent all the tournaments available live on the internet. Thank you for the kind words and I return the greetings to Hannah. I am glad that you are fine, generally. Spring has arrived, but in the past week or so winter has decided not to leave before giving us some more snow and chilly temperatures. I send you both a big hug.

May-27-25		virginmind: Hello my dear <moronovich>, how has it been going? We're back a few days ago from a trip to southern Spain - Cordoba, Granada and Sevilla, absolutely great weather all the time and we have seen quite a lot of beautiful attractions, Mezquita cathedral in Cordoba, Alhambra palace and gardens in Granada and Real Alcazar and Cathedral in Sevilla, among others, great and memorable stuff...only to get from 33 to 11 degrees Celsius and constant rain in Iasi, ouch, it kept going like that for ten days and it will apparently get worse for a couple... I'm fine and hope you two are the same. Norway tournament started these days and also Rolland Garros, talking about being spoiled. And of course eager to play chess again over the net after this pause... I hope I will hear good news from you. Hugs.

May-28-25		moronovich: Goodmorning my dear <virginmind>! Great to hear from you again and it sounds like you were having a great time in southern Spain. I am happy on your behalf ! I have been twice to Sevilla. First time with my son were we started out with the Camino, but after a week (with very nice meetings with people of all nationalities) it became too crowded and we went to Sevilla and lived two weeks with one of Hannahs close friends.Two weeks with chess and a couple of pints;). Next time was with Hannah and we also saw some of the famous places like the cathedral you have just visited. A very lovely town in all aspects (minus the heat;). So now you are back to daily life and a whole diffferent temperature ):. And new energy for your chess ! Which I hope will bring you a lot of pleasure and satisfying results. As often is the case after a break. I am somehow bothered with my wihplash, but has started up with a new fysiotherapist and perhaps it has already given some relief. Otherwise we are fine and truly enjoying our relation with a lot of common interests and laughter. Not to forget my mainpassion, which you know, cyckling. As the riders in the Giro di Italia have just started the third week. I enjoy it immensely and soon the Tour de France is beginning. And then we are deep into the summer of 2025 ! Spoiled, as you would put it. It has been nice talking with you again and I send you all the best wishes.To your Maria as well. Hugs and see you down or up the road.
