misguidedaggression: Regarding AdrianP's idea: Wouldn't it be easier to have Crafty kibitz at regular intervals, eliminating the need for external computer analysis. Then those who don't want to see computer analysis could simply put Crafty on their ignore list for the duration of the game.

misguidedaggression: I could see that happening. Division 4 just started round robins this month. Makes me wish I were in your division so I could play another game. The other divisions play their last game next month.

misguidedaggression: "Enter the Dragon:" A Minor American Karate Master desprately searches for a refutation to the Yugoslav Attack in a no holds barred chess tournament on a private island. Filming has currently been suspended after a stuntman had his arm broken in 4 places.

misguidedaggression: <midknightblue> My game against Magar was a simul. Also, Chessgames probably won't mind the rating requirements not being met if it's an interesting, high quality game. Especially if there's an unexplored opening novalty (like Magar's 4.f3). And if a master doesn't

misguidedaggression: Ok, I looked at that again, after 15...Rxc3 16.bxc3 Nxa2 17.Kb2 Nxc3 18.Qxc3 Bxh6 material is even: 2♙&♗ for ♖. The black dark square bishop is unopposed, but the white pawn storm is strong, while black's queenside attack is still non-existant. I ...

misguidedaggression: I think you're paraphrasing the old Jack Handy quote: "Build a fire for a man, he is warm for the night. Set as man on fire, he is warm for the rest of his life!"

misguidedaggression: I remember an endgame position is one of Kopec's lectures where he removed protection from a pawn to threaten mate with king and rook. However, capturing that pawn would allow the opposing rook to interpose the mate. If that's not convincing: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bd3?! The

misguidedaggression: <hayton> I prefer the gambit lines 5...Bc5 or 3...d5 They always seem to give more than enough compensation for the material investment. Of course, if you want a careful method, this looks fine. I personally prefer to take advantage of white's refusal to develop. ...

misguidedaggression: <midknightblue> Thanks, but it's easy to be clever with such an abundance of good material to work with. And a <real> Yaks milk latte in your hand! (Hint, Hint) This forum may be closed and Speed Racer may disappear for a little while. The Mach 5 needs a new ...
