Oct-11-14  Pulo y Gata: Yes, draw is still good, but since she's in contention she should not play for draw and forget the norm hunt for now. Those will fall in place, more so if she wins. She's a fighter so I'm quite sure that she will bring the fight on in every game.
Oct-17-14  pinoymaster77: Round 11 not good with top bets losing, WIM Frayna had lost earlier than IM Pau.

WIM Fronda reportedly had a 1 pawn edge, and per check of results settled for the draw. WFM San Diego won.

After 11 rounds, WIM Fronda has 6.5 while WIM Frayna and WFM San Diego with 6pts and they're all in the TOP 30.

Penguincw: Congrats to Janelle Frayna for being the jackpot winner, as out of the 4 rating lists (Top 100 players, women, juniors and girls), she has gained the most points during April, as she gained 98 points, and is now at 2265, the 33rd highest rated girl in the world.
Jun-20-15  pinoymaster77: Bobby Ang's Piece on Womens UAAP where FEU dethroned multi-titled DLSU. WIM Frayna was MVP, while WFM Shania was ROY. I think WIM Frayna is seeded to the 2015 BOGM due to high placing in the 2014 BOGM. She has 1 WGM norm while the 2nd norm is reportedly under appeal.

Dec-30-15  pinoymaster77: Congrats on 2-3 finish of Pinays WIM Frayna and WFM Mendoza, behind Viet ace WGM Nguyen Thi in the just concluded JAFPA ASEAN Chess event in Jakarta.

WFM Mendoza reportedly got WIM norm

Aug-09-16  pinoymaster77: Congratulations on 2/2 result so far for WIM Frayna 2292 vs WFM Visanescu 2067 and just now vs Indian WCM Salonika Saina 2131, she is living up to her #10 ranking in the field :

Aug-10-16  Pru: Congrats 3/3 na, tied for the lead. Match up with second seed Alina Bivol ng Russia bukas.
Aug-10-16  pinoymaster77: Yes, what a win vs USA ace WIM Eswaran, pisak talaga sa atake !

Well, WIM Janelle has at least more than 3x appearance in the WJCC so this is her time. Most probably may ELO gains din. Go for the title or WGM norm !

Pareho silang nag defend with the Ruy ni teammate WFM Shania

Aug-10-16  pinoymaster77: WIM Frayna earns a mention in the WJCC site as 1 of 4 co-leaders, something to savor a Pinay together with 2 Russians and a Ukrainian in the drivers' seats !

"In the girls’ section, the smoke is yet to clear up. WIM Alina Bivol, the second seed, won her third consecutive game by beating Indian WIM Michelle Catherina. Joining her in the lead were Russian WIM Dinara Dordzhieva of Russia, WIM Fryana Janelle Mae of Philippines and Ukrainian WGM Nataliya Buksa, all of whom are on 3.0/3."

Aug-11-16  Pru: Wow 4/4 na, ang galing, tinalo yung second seed na Russian.
Aug-11-16  pinoymaster77: Yup Kano then yung Russo, malamang solo lead and sa TOP board ulit in rd5.

Red hot start, magandang puhunan for at least a norm. Of course if she can get all the way to the crown it will be another chapter in PHI chess history!

Aug-11-16  pinoymaster77: 4 pts din pala the other Russian WIM Dinara Dordzhieva 2304, yun ang makakatapat sa round 5 bukas
