Jun-29-09  kramrich: thanks epistle! pipilitin kong matulungan si GM Joey thru my contacts sa adevrtising world...baka may gustong mag sponsor or try ko lapitan si Cong. Ruffy Biazon, mabait yun eh...ka church mate ko...gusto ko rin magpractice uli magchess; naiinspire ako sa recent performances ni GM Joey...i was a decent player way back in college..:) 1.5 out of 5 against dableo, .5 out 4 against laylo :) 4-1 against macmac pero yung mga panalo ko puro sbrtang bata p si macky! hehehe just wanted to share guys, di ako nagyayabang kasi la naman akong ipagyayabang hehe...gusto nyo labanan natin barangay wesley? katuwaan lang? malalakas din ata sila dun eh :)
Jun-29-09  pinoymaster77: gmjoey, thanks for regularly blogging here in your site.

It is nice to hear that you're in discussions with GMs Eugene and GM Bong to help in your preparations or be your second(s).

Hope also ma-firm up yun sponsor(s).

Hopefully Messrs Pacquaio,Pichay and the US immigration lawyer (Barbosa's sponsor) and corporate sponsors could
pitch in!

Jun-29-09  dunkenchess: Good afternoon po sa lahat.

Bro Kramrich try writing to PAGCOR to solicit funds. You can have an appointment with them. Many times I've ask team uniforms, chess clocks and chess sets from PAGCOR and they provided us. I have also seen them providing PNP of uniforms for their basketball and softball teams.

Jun-29-09  dunkenchess: GM Joey, bossing, try also contacting the group of GEN. OBANIANA. I believe they can chip in. The good General himself has the caliber of a national master and was a member of PMA Chess Team. Even today at the PA Gym kasama nyo sila during the summer games.

I was there yearly kaya lang hindi kita kaya, wala ako sa board 1.

Jun-29-09  pulsar: <kramrich> Welcome back! Good to have you back. I think you and <dunkenchess> are two of the strongest chessplayer kibitzers here in <CG>, especially among Pinoys.

All the best po sa inyo, <gmjoey>!

God bless!

Jun-29-09  kramrich: hi pulsar...yeah, i still frequent wesley's page...i'm a big fan of wesley, GM joey and all filipino players! nalulungkot lang ako dahil medyo nabahiran na ng pulitika yung wesley page...ang daming bangayan...baka hindi maging maganda image natin sa ibang bansa...dnont get me wrong, i admire the passion ng mga kabaranggay natin para kay wesley...pero sana tumutok n lang tayo s chess games and appreciate natin yung laro regardless anong bansa yung player...let's not stoop down to the level of other kibitzers...sa huli kasi si wesley ang talo dyan, baka yung iba nyang fans from other countries, maturn-off...wesley is our kababayan, pero let;s welcome foreigners who admires him too...wag n natin patulan yung comparison kay magnus...both are great players...
Jun-29-09  pulsar: <kramrich> Naintindihan kita, bro. :)

Jun-29-09  kramrich: GM Joey, thanks for replying! yes madaming gusto tumulong sa inyo. I believe you have what it takes to go all the way sa world cup with God's blessings. uve proven that in 1999 when you reached the 2nd round and lost to eventiual finalist (2nd placer) vladimir akopian after 3 draws, you lost the final rapid game...im sure you know this that when akopian was interviewed prior to the finals, he was asked which match has been the toughest? his answer was the match with the filipino GM! given your rapid and blitz skills, alam namin kayo niyo yan GM Joey! im sure you're preparing hard...wag niyo isipin yung mga elo na 2700+, numbers lang yun sir...given your talent and hardwork, sky's the limit!
Jun-29-09  kramrich: Para medyo malaki naman ang mairaise na funds, i'll make it a grand prix style (monthly tourney) maybe starting July - sept, it may serve as elimination for the Inter-Province in Oct 14-18...tuloy b yan GM Joey? pero yan sir eh kung willing kayo lumaro for muntinlupa...if not, papa non-master and junior grand prix na lang ako cguro...from July to October...basta GM Joey, if may ideas kayo pagusapan natin...to the rest, just throw in your ideas...salamat!
Jun-29-09  waustad: The kibitzing here is interesting. People often slip back and forth between languages in speech, but I haven't seen it in writing that much.
Jun-29-09  kramrich: yes whitehorse, dongui is fernie donguines. i just assumed sya yung yinutukoy ni dunkenchess na Fernie D. malakas nga si dunkenchess kung ganun :)
Jun-29-09  kramrich: GM Joey and the rest of the kabaranggay, our verse for the day: hope you meditate and apply it on your life: "DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING. INSTEAD PRAY FOR EVERYTHING" Philippians 4:6
