<Big Pawn> In response to the enlightening, and humorous, audiovisual aids you kindly dropped in my forum the other day, I offer this to you and the <steamed colleagues> you host here. In case anyone was wondering why feminist Islam supporters don't experience "cognitive dissonance" when confronted with the facts about Sharia law, delightful investigator <Lauren Southern> has unearthed this fact: You cannot experience cognitive dissonance if you cannot experience cognition in the first place. Here is proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZH... |
|
| Aug-15-18 | | Big Pawn: <JFQ>, that was excellent! I think <Lauren Southern> is great and she's doing excellent work. She asked those idiots just the right question and <cognitive dissonance> was spectacular. heh
It's so great to see them not want to answer that question. Then they come up with the lamest, though entirely predictable, face saving attempts. A cringe fest. Wait until they find themselves stuffed into one of those life size garbage bags with the eye holes cut out (Islam is merciful after all), if they want to pass through a no-go section of Canada, Britain or Australia. Now, in case you were wondering about the second video I sent you, the one where the lovely Islamic couple were on the train together, it was <not> video proof of women's rights being oppressed under Islam. It was <not> video proof of the fruits of Muslim culture. It was <not> video proof of domestic abuse in Islamic culture being so pervasive that anyone hardly raises and eyebrow. It was none of those things. That video was merely an instructional video on "How to Muzzie". |

<Big Pawn> Yes I am also a big <Lauren Southern> fan as well as a big <Ben Shapiro> fan. I keep fantasizing about the presidential ticket in 2024 and hoping that <Ben Shapiro> runs and is elected president, and then stuffs his cabinet with <Lauren Southern> and other really smart people. One of the things I like about <Ben> is that he does his own shilling on his podcast. He's not ashamed of his sponsors and he's willing to personally go to bat for them. This also makes for some interesting segues.
For example, in this podcast where he neatly segues from a very serious bit of political analysis to an advert for one of his sponsors. "But first- let's talk about your underwear"

<Keyser Soze> "gals" Well, maybe yes, maybe no. Without more information we don't know what any of those "gals" are self-identifying as. Some might have decided they are "men," others that they are "non binary LBQ-Tips." If you watch the whole video you will see a "gal" who is currently self-identifying as a Hummel figurine, and another as a decorative dinner plate. |

| Aug-15-18 | | Big Pawn: <JFQ>, since you're living back in Canuckistan now, with King Cuck in office up there, I think you should know the right way to take a selfie in the near future. https://scontent.fbed1-2.fna.fbcdn.... |

| Aug-15-18 | | diceman: "Sweden's a Disaster" Tucker & Nigel Farage on Sweden's Immigration Crisis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yl... |
|
| Aug-15-18 | | Big Pawn: <Diceman>, good video. I like both Tucker and Nigel Farage. Tucker wanted to know why the politicians don't want us to analyze what's happening in Europe, even though we are adopting many of the same policies, while Nigel pointed to the disaster in Sweden right now as evidence. When I watch these kinds of videos I feel two ways about them. On the one hand feel frustrated, for lack of a better word, because of how insane the left is and how they are ruining the good countries. On the other hand I am happy to see that people discussing the problem more boldly than before, which is the Trump effect I'm sure. If there is enough bold talk for long enough, things will change, but the discourse needs to be honest and frank with zero sugar coating. |

When I watch these kinds of videos I feel two ways about them.> What has always bothered me is how simple this actually is. (Embracing the freedoms liberties granting by our founding fathers, and pulling the proper voting handle, and
this is all gone)
Yet, it's all complicated by man's failings. From the greedy power hungry politician, to the liberal who believes "he" is the intelligent one. This Twilight Zone episode has always reminded me of liberalism. Leave the stick in the door, problem solved. Of course, the guy who is smarter than everyone else, lets him out. | Aug-16-18 | | Big Pawn: <diceman>, I forgot about that old episode of the Twilight Zone. It's perfect. Yes, <Leave the stick in the door, problem solved. Of course, the guy who is smarter than everyone else, lets him out>, that is an accurate portrayal of liberalism for sure. It's amazing how libs love both being idiots and being evil. They spend their time thinking about the worst idea for any given situation and then devote themselves slavishly to accomplishing the foolishness of the idea. |

| Aug-19-18 | | diceman: <technical draw: My question about Occam's Razor is because Occam's Razor should not apply to biblical exegesis. Biblical reasoning should be exact and precise. Approximations or close enough is not good Bible interpretation. The "usually the simplest explanation is the correct one" is truly anti-biblical. There is a correct interpretation of bible passages and these are hardly ever the "simplest" ones.> Makes one wonder what all the arguing is about? |
|
| Aug-19-18 | | thegoodanarchist: Why are <The Doors> overrated? How does a band that isn't all that good, become a super group? <Morrison essentially arrived on the scene as a fully-developed rock star, complete with a backing band, a stage persona and an impressive collection of songs - enough, in fact, to fill the Doors' first few albums. How exactly Jim Morrison reinvented himself in such a radical manner remains something of a mystery, since before his sudden incarnation as singer/songwriter, James Douglas Morrison had never shown the slightest interest in music. None whatsoever.> That's quite a surprise.
<He certainly never studied music and could neither read nor write it. By his own account, he never had much of an interest in even listening to music. He told one interviewer that he "never went to concerts - one or two at most." <<<And before joining the Doors, he "never did any singing. I never even conceived of it.">>> Asked near the end of his life if he had ever had any desire to learn to play a musical instrument, Jim responded, "Not really." > Wow! Never did any singing??
<So here we had a guy who had never sang (apparently not even in the shower or in his car, which seems rather odd to me), who had "never even conceived" of the notion that he could open his mouth and makes sounds come out, and who couldn't play an instrument and had no interest in learning such a skill, and who had never much listened to music or been anywhere near a band, even just to watch one perform, and yet this guy somehow emerged, virtually overnight, as a fully-formed rock star who would quickly become an icon of his generation. And even more bizarrely, legend holds that he brought with him enough original songs to fill the first few Doors' albums. Morrison did not, you see, do as any other singer/songwriter does and pen the songs over the course of the band's career; instead, he allegedly wrote them all at once, before the band was even formed.> What's up with that???
<As Jim once acknowledged in an interview, he was "not a very prolific songwriter. Most of the songs I've written I wrote in the very beginning, about three years ago. I just had a period when I wrote a lot of songs."> Very strange.
<In fact, all of the good songs that Morrison is credited with writing were written during that period - the period during which, according to rock legend, Jim spent most of his time hanging out on the rooftop of a Venice apartment building, consuming copious amounts of LSD.> It's an essay series on the birth of the hippie generation, the Laurel Canyon "death house", and the odd fact that so many music icons of that generation were children of military intelligence officers. I found it to be a very entertaining read:

| Aug-19-18 | | Big Pawn: That is all very interesting. I will check the article out a bit later as I'm sure the rest of it is interesting too. I remember when The Doors movie came out back in about 92 or so. I watched it with friends back in the day. |
