That was pretty funny.
At any rate, <Mort>, you now have the benefit of three people's perspectives on the Other Page's activity, including your role in it - for what it's worth. |

| Sep-04-20 | | Big Pawn: The lady salon owner where Pelosi got her hair done in violation of the COVID rules, no mask, ordering the shop open just for her, is receiving <DEATH THREATS> from the libs. She's devastated.
Death threats!
Can someone explain why the libs are sending her death threats? Why are they threatening her at all? Pelosi, a big fat hypocrite, clearly showed that the rules are for the little people, not the Beautiful People, so why are the libs not giving Pelosi death threats instead? If only I were emperor... |

Can someone explain why the libs are sending her death threats?> Liberalism is no longer a political ideology. It is The Left's new religion (and they are more fanatical than most Christians). You cannot expose the hypocrisy of The High Priestess of Liberalism. No no no, that just won't do at all. That is heresy, and heretics must be killed. It's a Leftist version of a Salem Witch Trial, without the formality. |

Correct. It is <not> to protect the right of the <ARMY> to bear arms.> That’s not the question. Please don’t strawman by throwing in the <army>. You’re better than that |

It is <not> to protect the right of the <ARMY> to bear arms.> That’s not the question. Please don’t strawman by throwing in the <army>. You’re better than that> A straw man is when you construct a weak, false caricature of your opponents argument so you can easily knock it down, while pretending it's his real argument. I haven't done that here.
You asked why the 2A uses the word militia. You then said that because the word militia was used, it means that the militia was a central part of the concept of the 2A. To that, <OCF> responded, < OhioChessFan: I can't get past the point people interpret 2A as immortalizing the otherwise questionable right that an army can have weapons...> I agreed with him and restated it my own way in further agreement with <TGA>. Where is the straw man? |

| Sep-05-20 | | Big Pawn: <optimal>, can you shed some light on what was reported on that video? Is this your prime minister doing this stuff? If not, then who else has the authority to go all nazi pc on regular folks like this? She got arrested in her home in front of her family because she posted something non PC online? What’s been the backlash so far? |
|
| Sep-05-20 | | optimal play: <Big Pawn> No, this is not our prime minister doing this stuff, it is the state premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews. The American equivalent would be a state governor. Each state is responsible for its own police force and the cops ultimately answer to the state premier. The prime minister and federal government has no authority in this regard. The Chinese virus is now out of control in the state of Victoria due to the gross incompetence and mismanagement of Daniel Andrews and his left-wing Labor Party apparatchiks. Up until just recently, Australia as a whole had only suffered 100 deaths from the Chinese virus. Victoria alone now has 650 deaths out of a nationwide total of 748. While the rest of the country has managed to contain the spread of the virus, it became out of control in Victoria after the left-wing state government allowed a Black Lives Matter protest to go ahead. Now Victorians are forced to suffer almost total lockdown as a result of Daniel Andrews Marxist ideology. Ordinary people like those in Dicey's videos are naturally rebelling against this heavy-handedness, albeit in a very peaceful and non-violent manner, but because it is not a left-wing demonstration like BLM, the Victorian authorities are taking a hard line against these citizens. I don't live in Victoria so I'm not experiencing it first hand, but it seems there is a growing backlash against that state government, and Daniel Andrews in particular. We won't see riots like BLM but Victorians will remember this at the next state election. |

I don’t see <OCF’s> posts, which is why your use of <army> made no sense to me in this re: Also, I’m simply asking, and am still trying to figure out the multiple views of 2a, and their merit <TGA> has offered good reasons for his viewpoints. I’m listening. Thanks |

| Sep-05-20 | | Big Pawn: <Everett: < Since they won't actually engage in the <central points>> <BP> What are these points again?> The <central points> of a debate are at the heart of the issue. When the other side realizes that they can't refute the <central points> of a debate, they try to misdirect it by introducing red herrings and straw men. When this happens, many pages of posts follow and none of them are actually on point. |
