| Apr-08-16 | | Big Pawn: <Jim Bartle: I'll answer it if you answer about the Craig conference. Why didn't you go?> You didn't "put up", so now you can "shut up".
Bartle calls Pawn a liar.
Pawn challenges bartle.
Bartle does *not* put up.
Point. |
| Apr-08-16 | | Big Pawn: <the focus>, come and see <Jim bartle> whooped again. |
| Apr-08-16 | | Big Pawn: <Diceman> it's so fun to watch <Jim> squirm like this. Your points were of course obvious, and <Jim> knows that. *Everyone* knows what it means when the other guy refuses to answer the question. <Jim>, you completely undermine your position when I ask you a simple yes or no question and you RUN away. |

Disfree.
Please quote me accurately. Do not chop up any words. |
| Apr-08-16 | | Big Pawn: <Jim: Please quote me accurately. Do not chop up any words.> I did quote you directly. I copy and pasted your words and did not take them out of context. Out of context and dishonest would be this:
If you had said, "Yes, voter ID is free if you're s rich, evil, white republican" but I had only copied, "Yes, voter ID is free", then that would be dishonest because it's out of context and purposely so. This is not the case!
Since you said I debated dishonestly, I came back to face your challenge. I asked: <Are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE? Yes or no. Put up or shut up.>
So answer my question. |
| Apr-09-16 | | Jim Bartle: <I did quote you directly. I copy and pasted your words and did not take them out of context.> You took it completely out of context.
I just answered your question above, perfectly clearly. What you did is the equivalent of quoting the Second Amendment the following way: <The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.> And leaving out the "well-regulated militia" clause. |
| Apr-09-16 | | Big Pawn: Let's review.
I asked if I refuted you by showing that voter ID was free, because <the cowardly charlatan> brought up "the poor" argument like you did a few months ago. The RELEVANT part of your answer:
<Jim: Yeah, the Alabama voter IDs were free..> You called me dishonest for not including the irrelevant part of your answer. Therefore, in order to clear this up once and for all, I asked you if you now say the opposite: <Are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE?> You flat out said you won't answer.
Drop the points, lose the debate. Those aren't my rules. That's just how a debate goes. Point. |
| Apr-09-16 | | Big Pawn: <Are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE?> Yes or no <bartle>? |
| Apr-09-16 | | Jim Bartle: What we are arguing at the moment is honesty in discussion. Cutting my sentence in half and quoting half of it to give a distorted meaning to what I wrote is dishonest. You're a classic <Antonin Scalia School of Law>. (Now I will wait for you to quote the above line just until "classic.") |
| Apr-09-16 | | Jim Bartle: <big pawn><I'm not being honest when I debate> That is an accurate quote. Thank you very much for admitting it. |
| Apr-09-16 | | Big Pawn: <Jim Bartle: What we are arguing at the moment is honesty in discussion. Cutting my sentence in half and quoting half of it to give a distorted meaning to what I wrote is dishonest.> It did not distort the meaning and I will *show* that right now. I ask you, are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE? I said you said it was free. You said that was dishonest because I didn't quote other stuff, thus distorting your answer. Therefore,
are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE? |
| Apr-09-16 | | Big Pawn: *crickets*
Are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE?
Yes or no <bartle>? |
| Apr-09-16 | | Jim Bartle: Just cutting and pasting the way you did. |
| Apr-09-16 | | technical draw: Well, well, all my friends here in friendly debate. And in the words of that great, albeit puffy faced philosopher Rodney King, can we get along, can we get along? |
| Apr-09-16 | | diceman: <technical draw:
can we get along, can we get along?>
That's exactly what the guy who robbed me at the ATM said! ...just kidding.
It all depends how much of a threat "getting along" is. |
| Apr-09-16 | | Big Pawn: <Big Pawn: *crickets*
Are you now saying that voter ID is *not* FREE?
Yes or no <bartle>?> His final answer:
<Jim Bartle: Just cutting and pasting the way you did.> Kicked that old hippie down the stairs yet again.
Next! |

| Apr-12-16 | | Big Pawn: If liberalism is merely the rationalization of sin, then liberalism and Christianity do not mix. |

| Apr-20-16 | | TheFocus: That <Rogoff> page is a barrel of laughs!! |
| Apr-20-16 | | TheFocus: Notice that <Jim> can't keep his cool. He started in with the profanity and insults. I am so glad to come back to smear dung in the faces of some of the self-righteous hypocrites. |

Carry on, guys. Always good to see a nice bromance. |
| Apr-20-16 | | Jim Bartle: <Notice that <Jim> can't keep his cool. He started in with the profanity and insults. I am so glad to come back to smear dung in the faces of some of the self-righteous hypocrites.> Right. <focus> uses a poster's real name, against his wishes, over and over, and then whines "I didn't reveal it, I just use it," when called on it. My language was mild and restrained when it comes to <focus>. He really does fit in the class of <tolengoy>, the person who did reveal the name. |
| Apr-20-16 | | Big Pawn: <TheFocus: That <Rogoff> page is a barrel of laughs!!> Indeed! It's been a riot lately. |
| Apr-20-16 | | Big Pawn: <twinlark: TF is coming here to return BP's back rubs.> <Twinlark> is stealing my Totally-Straight shirtless massage line. I'm going to put a paypal button on here so <twinlark> and other wannabees can donate when they steal my stuff. |
| Apr-20-16 | | Big Pawn: <jim>, you have been ornery and unfriendly lately. Picking on the cool kids won't get you anywhere. |
| Apr-21-16 | | Big Pawn: Evolution, taken on an atheistic worldview, implied that it rained on the rocks and the rocks came to life. The rocks evolved. |
