SwitchingQuylthulg: In the Bilbao perfecta, Topalov-Aronian appears as an option twice, while Topalov-Radjabov is missing...
Aug-30-08  NakoSonorense: <malthrope> Thanks. I think I'm staying here. I like 6,000. :)

Hehehe... :) Yes it's quite nice to have a healthy 4 figured feather bed to sleep on! <grin> I'm very glad the - NH Chess (2008) - has finally concluded. Betting at the very end of the tourney as we did always seems a bit unusual to me. Especially with the 'Rising Stars' simply crushing the old guards... :(

Gosh when is this massacre going to turn around? So, how do I play it? Bet exclusively just on Chep and Wang? Dabble a bit in 'Dark Horses?' Anyway, I just decided to bet a little of each without risking too much... As, I much prefer to start (betting wise) right at the beginning of a Chess Tourney where I can see all the games and get a real sense of the precise flow and mood of the players day by day. As 'luck' would have it that 'Chess Tournament' is coming right up! Grand Slam this baby! ~lol~ "Good Luck" to everyone! :^) - Mal

Aug-30-08  artyom2008: i betted 200 on bibalo grand slam winner anand and payouts 548 whooooooooooooooo

Chessgames Bookie: <NakoSonorense> The Summer Leg will end at the end of September.

<SwitchingQuylthulg> Sorry about the mix-up. Tickets on the second Topalov-Aronian bet have been refunded, and if there should be a Topalov-Radjabov finish, all tickets will be refunded.

Sep-01-08  artyom2008: So artyom2008, how ya doin'? You owe me a lot of dough, buddy boy. Come to pay me back, I assume? You're into me for 1,021 chessbucks, you know.

Hehehe... You're not <dead> yet just <stagnate>, atm! ;)

The Loanshark is just a big teddy bear... He growls a lot but when you need him he's there! So long as you have a negative "Net Worth" (be careful though if your bets made in the future take you back into the <positive> range) he'll always fork over another loan... Hang in there! And "Good Luck" on your - Bilbao Grand Slam: Winner - bet on Anand! :^)

OK - I'd better start exercising my brain with some <heavy thinking> and decide what looks good to bet on! <grin> :) - Mal

Sep-09-08  danielpi: This is actually a ton of fun. More than doubled my starting cash in only two rounds.

Well, it's fun while I'm doing well. When rainy days come by, we shall see.

Sep-09-08  ycsidney: Bilbao annihilates me. After punting more than 3000 cb I'm yet to collect one single chessbuck!!!

believe you me !

Annie K.: <danielpi> welcome to ChessBookie addiction. ;p
Sep-09-08  NakoSonorense: Ok. What's going on?! I'm on the verge of dropping out of the top 12 and I have +6,000!

I thought this would be enough...

Sep-10-08  danielpi: <Nako> I made a killing betting on Aronian over Topalov. I KNEW that would happen! Topalov has never been able to handle Aronian very well. 3407 chessbucks after three days -- watch out -- I'm gunning for your spot! :)

Sep-10-08  ycsidney: never knew lament can bring change of tide. just collected 2144 cb for black-white-draw for wager of 30 cb

hallelujah !!!

Did you ever happen to read the <fine print>? The Loanshark once told me that Leaderboard Top-12 office has a large sign hanging on the front door which clearly states:

<"OUT TO LUNCH!"> ~lol~

FYI: Watch out <Nako> me thinks that <danielpi> is gunning for your spot! ;) He probably has a telescopic sight too with a mean set of cross-hairs! ~lol~

<Annie K.: <danielpi> welcome to ChessBookie addiction. ;p>

Hehehe... <Annie> ;) I just like to think of it as a casual pastime that I'm sometimes willing to spend 5-6 hours on... It's really just a "short day" at the office! :^) <grin> - Mal

PS: <ycsidney: never knew lament can bring change of tide. just collected 2144 cb for black-white-draw for wager of 30 cb hallelujah !!!> Way to GO! :))

Sep-10-08  danielpi: <Nako> jumps a few places!

Meanwhile, I make another grand and some change. When it updates, I should be at #11. That is, unless the rankings change significantly.

Still got you in my crosshairs <Nako>!

Sep-10-08  danielpi: 4771 chessbucks!
Sep-10-08  NakoSonorense: <danielpi> You want to make it personal? Fine. I'm not going to let you get any closer to where I stand. Today I cashed 2 winning tickets, which will put me at 7,245, or 6th place!

Furthermore, I have two 100 tickets for the Aronian-Topalov and Topalov-Aronian Perfecta. As of right now, those two happen to be leading the tournament! A bit less than 4,000 coming my way if Topalov wins it with Aronian as the runner-up. And 5,500 if Aronian finishes 1st with Topa in 2nd!

Seems to me that you still got a bit of work to do! xD

<malthrope> You're just out my league... :(

Sep-10-08  malthrope: <NakoSonorense: [...] <malthrope> You're just out my league... :(>

HaHaHa! ;) We shall see about that... Won't we? <devilish grin> "Good Luck!" :^) - Mal

Dags. Probably can't match that. Well, whoever's on 10th better beware!

Sep-11-08  danielpi: Damnit.
Sep-11-08  Whitehat1963: <Chessbookie> I think you have a good bet in predicting Arno Nickel's 6th move. According to the Opening Explorer, he has at least eight possibilities.
