Jul-15-09 | | RonB52734: <If a winning ticket is discarded by mistake it will pop back up for you to cash.> I'm guessing there are folks who wish it were so in meat life. :) |
Jul-16-09 | | DCP23: Are tiebreak games counted towards the 'most moves' bet? |
Jul-16-09 | | RonB52734: I can't find anything on the "most moves" bet. Bookie? |
Jul-17-09 | | wordfunph: <Chessgames Bookie> please feature the on-going 2009 Canadian Open Championship. Thank you. |
Jul-17-09 | | RonB52734: <wordfun> I think one of the problems with betting on the early rounds of a large swiss-system tournament is that many of the early round games will be obvious blowouts. Notice that the Scottish Open is in the 7th round already and only the top 3 pairings are GM v. GM. |
Jul-17-09
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <DCP23> Our intention with the "Most Moves" bet, was for it to pertain only to the regularly scheduled games of the tournament and not any possible blitz playoff games. In the future we will include a clause in such propositions to make things absolutely clear. |
Jul-17-09 | | wordfunph: <RonB52734> yes i agree but Canadian Open is now in the 7th round i believe. <Chessgames Bookie> your thoughts please? |
Jul-17-09 | | RonB52734: Here are the results from the 7th Round of the Scottish Open: Arakhamia-Grant vs Prasad : 0-1
The other two games were draws. |
Jul-18-09
 | | Chessgames Bookie: You can now wager on the games: Canadian Championship: Rd 8: Adams vs Porper and Canadian Championship: Rd 8: Bluvshtein vs Shirov. |
Jul-19-09 | | wordfunph: <Chessgames Bookie> Muchas gracias for featuring the Canadian Championship. |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: <DCP23> We were inexcusably asleep at the switch on this one. Best we can do is to offer a late bet which will close after the first round has already taken place: Biel: Winner |
Jul-19-09 | | DCP23: <Chessgames Bookie> Thanks ;) |
Jul-22-09 | | RonB52734: Why did my two losing "Canadian Open: Winner" bets reappear in my list of live bets? Are you just mocking me? :) |
Jul-24-09 | | Knight13: Dude I had 4003 chessbucks once but I bet 1500 on three games, and they all came out wrong. Now I got negative chessbucks and I'm not playing anymore. Lol. This game sucks when the luck isn't on your side. |
Jul-24-09 | | SloVice: Wow, I actually won a few bets. Unfortunately, they weren't big bets (I didn't have much to begin with) so I didn't win much. BUT, I finally moved in the right direction. Look out 260th place!! You are in danger of being passed. Yeah, I'm talking to you. *sigh* |
Jul-25-09 | | NakoSonorense: You better get ready. I'm making the biggest comeback in the history of the chessbookie game ever! |
Jul-25-09 | | technical draw: <NakoSonorense: You better get ready. I'm making the biggest comeback in the history of the chessbookie game ever!> To another dog with that bone. |

Jul-28-09 | | SloVice: <Chessgames Bookie> First, let me say that I really enjoy the ChessBookie game. It is fantastic and I'm glad you provide it, so thank you. Second, I don't know how many people frequently check the full standings list, but I like to see how other users are doing. This led me to an idea for an addition to the game. It would look similar to the leaderboard, but would track the biggest (top 5 or 10) gainers and losers based upon ranking and net worth. PlayerX up 15 spots/PlayerY down 20 spots and PlayerW up 2000 chessbucks/PlayerZ down 1300. Of course the list would look more interesting with up and down arrows similar to what you see with stock prices. I don't know how difficult that would be to implement, but maybe something to think about in the future. Others may disagree, but I think this would be pretty slick. |
Jul-28-09 | | NakoSonorense: That's a great idea, SloVice! |
