Mar-26-10  Barok Espinosa: <SloVice: Congrats to <Barok Espinosa>! Nice win with a new record, trouncing the old mark.>

Mar-28-10  wordfunph: <Chessgames Bookie> when are you going to resume business?

<Bradah> and I will give <Barok Espinosa> <Chnebelgrind> <moronovich> a good run. :-)

Mar-31-10  notyetagm: <CHESSBOOKIE>

Will the next leg start in time for the <2010 RUSSIAN TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP>, which starts tomorrow?

<ChessBookie> I've now updated and posted my <Current Chess Events> tourney info for April in my Profile...

This should ease your betting task considerably... :)

From the principal source the official website: http://www.russiachess.org/

Pairings and results with tourney info, teams & players reports with full stats (<in English!>). :D

Premiere League: http://www.russiachess.org/results/...

Higher League: http://www.russiachess.org/results/...

Women's League: http://www.russiachess.org/results/...

So, lock & load and fire away... <*grin*>

Apr-03-10  wordfunph: life is boring without my best friend <loanshark> by my side.. :-)
Apr-04-10  notyetagm: <BOOKIE> When does the next leg start?

I want to bet on games from the Russian Team Championships (2010).

Thanks

Apr-05-10  malthrope: <notyetagm: <BOOKIE> When does the next leg start?>

Patience is a virtue! ;)

The key factor will be when <ChessBookie> resets all of our betting accounts back to 1K. :) There is progress being made however as <CG.com> just recently listed the two events in question on their homepage:

Russian Team Championships (2010)

Russian Team Championships (Women) (2010)

So, what say thee <ChessBookie>...

<"To bet or not to bet? That is the question!"> ~lol~ ;)

- Mal

PS: <wordfunph> -- your last posting here (Apr-03-10) is now my ~Betting/Congrats Quote of the Month~ for April (in my Profile). Congrats! :D

  Chessgames Bookie: ♔ ANNOUNCEMENT ♔

The Spring Leg has now officially begun, and with it the new 2010/2011 ChessBookie season.

Several bets have been added for the World Chess Championship starting April 23rd, including the main bet:

2010 World Championship: WINNER

Other bets include some fun high-stakes proposition bets such as 2010 World Championship: FIRST BLOOD and 2010 World Championship: UNDERPROMOTION. See the main page of the ChessBookie Game for the entire list.

We'll have other bets for ongoing events before the 23rd, so think twice before investing your entire wad in long-term bets.

♖ ALSO ♖

All five of the T-Shirts prizes were mailed out today. Depending on where you live you should get them either in a few days (for our one USA winner) or 1-3 weeks for our Europe / Philippine winners. Congratulations again on their fine performances.

Apr-05-10  technical draw: I got the first bet in! 10 cb's on Topalov!!
Apr-05-10  wordfunph: thanks <CG Bookie>..

good luck to all!

Apr-05-10  whiteshark: <technical boast> I wouldn't be so sure about that. <10 cb's on <Anand>>!!
Apr-06-10  bharatiy: <technical draw> I would love if you lose those 10 CBs

Sneaky: By the way (I probably shouldn't be saying this but I'm automatically seeded for the winter so I don't care) .... all that money on underpromoting is DEAD money!! Take it from the guy who made the Game Collection: Underpromotions ... it ain't gonna happen.
Apr-15-10  technical draw: <Sneaky> Underpromotions? That's an interesting proposition but the "yes'' would have to go off at at least 10-1 before I plunk some money down.
Apr-15-10  technical draw: BTW "Barbatov" should be Berbatov: Kiprian Berbatov
Apr-18-10  refutor: how about adding a bet for whether the world championship will start on the announced day? :)
Apr-18-10  amadeus: Haha, good idea!
Apr-18-10  whiteshark: you'r gambler

Sneaky: How about a bet, "FIDE IS A TRAVESY"
The "YES" ticket wins if any of the following events happen: 1 - the live game feed is blacked out for an entire round 2 - a game is forfeited as a reaction to FIDE decisions 3 - the schedule is delayed for any reason 4- Kirsan has to fly into Bulgaria to keep the peace

The "NO" ticket pays if none of those 4 things happen.

I'd reckon that bet would be about even money. Maybe slightly in favor of "YES", especially with that "black out" clause.

Apr-19-10  Barok Espinosa: I bet $300 for number 3- the schedule is delayed for any reason...
Apr-20-10  wordfunph: <refutor: how about adding a bet for whether the world championship will start on the announced day? :)>

lol! or maybe a bet if Danailov would create another controversy...sorry bad joke guys! :-)

Apr-21-10  bharatiy: <CB> do you think you can add a bet on openings to be played and how many times, something on this line. Would love to bet on that before game 1.
Apr-23-10  SloVice: I'm upset with the Loanshark. It's been 3-4 days since he last offered a loan. I can't place any more bets unless I get a loan. Have a heart Loanshark, you know I'm good for it.
