Jun-14-11  dakgootje: [complaining]

Blegh, 3rd day in row I would've made a great score if only the last game would've ended a bit different.

Round 2 radjabov who had a non-winning advantage vs Karjakin; Rd 3 I had hedged for several likely outcomes, but had forgotten about the only one which cashed; and now rd 4 Carlsen had a non-winning advantage against Karjakin.

Perhaps it will go better if I give Karjakin a bit more respect with my pick-3.

[/complaining]

Jun-14-11  technical draw: Lost 500cb's this round. I'm out of the top ten again. So what else is new?
Jun-14-11  wordfunph: mate <TD>, i contemplated of heavy betting in the 4th round but finally decided for $150 only. Too risky to catch <wally>, a top 10 finish will be ok, i agree..

goodluck mate <TD>! 6 more rounds..

I would have the same strategy,if I had your position. And good luck for the rest of the leg !

Jun-15-11  technical draw: I just picked up $159. I don't move up but at least I didn't lose. Time is running out!
Jun-15-11  dakgootje: Ah! Hit the pick-3. Not much as it was only a small side-bet, but it does mean I have a small profit 70-ish - so no complaints.

Just need to hit big once, and I'm in the top-10 ;)

As long as they keep the draw-% low I should be able to make something happen.

Jun-15-11  technical draw: <dak> It can be done. I was almost last a few days ago and I jumped to 8th in one day, but again, time is running out!
Jun-15-11  dakgootje: I know, earlier I jumped from 250th to 30th or something. Lady Luck left me the following rounds - so I gave most of my winnings back again.

However, now I'm still much higher than I was - so if I get a similar or larger cash, the top-10 is quite possible.

You are right though - time is not on our side.

Jun-17-11  dakgootje: Don't think today is gonna be my day, bookie-wise. Not a single bet I really like, and the pick-3 is hardly any good today either.

Ah well, maybe the late betting of some will shift some odds in a good way.

Chessgames Bookie: The spring leg will end with tomorrow's wagers on the final around of the Bazna Kings tournament. Good Luck to everyone!
Jun-20-11  technical draw: OK, it's time to go all-in. No use in having a couple of thousands bucks left in the end cause that can't buy squat.
Jun-20-11  dakgootje: Best of luck sir!

Think there is about a 10-15% chance I can flirt with a top-10 finish. The other 85-90% is me going completely broke. But that's okay ;D

Jun-20-11  wordfunph: goodluck <TD> <dakgootje> <all>..
Jun-21-11  dakgootje: Thanks sir!

Good luck trying to maintain your top-10 finish :)

Jun-21-11  technical draw: I won some bills but I think I'm a little short of top ten. Maybe 12th?
Jun-21-11  dakgootje: Gambled and lost. Would've been fairly certain of top-10 had Naka won.
Jun-21-11  technical draw: <dak> I put it all on Chucky and earned 2k plus but I think I am just a wee short.

Chnebelgrind: <I put it all on Chucky> So did I, but in pick3. I come to 4403! From -2738 BTW. And I had another 500 on OTHER in the Exacta, what should have payed after all, because there was no Car<l>sen-Karjakin ticket on the list! See Bazna Kings: Exacta
Jun-21-11  dakgootje: Went with everything on D/D/Naka. Would've been about 3k in pick-3; with $300 [my max] bets on the seperate bets.

If it had come-through, I would've had about 4.7k

Jun-21-11  Ragh: Folks,
Now that the Spring Leg is over, are the Final Standings and results going to get computed anytime during the day today, or do we wait for the usual nightly update of the standings?

I am on the border of top-10, so am curious if I got in or not.

Jun-21-11  technical draw: <Ragh> I'm on the border too at $3,053. How much do you have?
Jun-21-11  Ragh: <TD> I have 2771. I guess that is not enough then.

SwitchingQuylthulg: I went all in on the triple-draw (last chance to catch <wallytherhino>) and lost a heap. But at c$9K+ I should still qualify comfortably :)
Jun-21-11  technical draw: <Ragh> I don't think you're going to make it with 2,771. In fact, I might not make it with 3,053. At least it was an exciting run to the finish.
Jun-21-11  wordfunph: a shake-up in the last round made it more exciting, thanks to Chucky!

my final net worth --- $4,386 maybe just enough inside the magic 10.

thanks to my fellow bookie players for the wonderful leg..

thanks <CG Bookie>, more power!
