Chessgames Bookie: For simplicity, during the Women's Knock-Out championship, we're switching over to a round-by-round format.

So for example the bet Women's World Championship: Rd 2: Pogonina vs Kosteniuk is a bet over who wins the whole shootin' match, including the tiebreaks (if required) ... not just the first game of the match.

We may *also* include bets on individual games as the field whittles down, but those will be clearly marked as such.

Good luck!

Nov-16-12  wordfunph: mother of all upsets, Socko ousted Hou :(

<Hou Yifan 7,000 1:14 1.07 A winning 100 chessbuck ticket pays out 107 chessbucks.

Socko 545 12:1 13.20 A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 132 chessbucks.>

Nov-16-12  whiteshark: <Bookie> Fun bet on round 3.1 game of the Kosintseva sisters: Draw under/above 15 moves. No payout if decisive! ;)

OBIT: LOL, I see from the bracket at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%... that Kosintseva has already moved on to the next round.
Nov-17-12  brankat: <Chessgames Bookie>

The field has been narrowed down, the players are closely matched. Can't really get any "worthwhile" odds.

So, why not a P-3 wager in round #4?

  moronovich: And I´ll second that.

Pick 3 would be much appriciated.

Nov-18-12  kardopov: <Sneaky: Kosintseva has white :P> A big no! She has black. Go Kosintseva!!
Nov-18-12  brankat: <kardopov> An even bigger NO. Kosintseva has both, Black and White.
Nov-18-12  kardopov: <<kardopov> An even bigger NO. Kosintseva has both, Black and White.>> LOL!

OBIT: Clearly this is agonizing for the two sisters. Since they are Tweedledum and Tweedledee anyway, studying together, swapping databases, and playing the same openings, I say stop putting them through this torture - just them both advance as a single team. They can each play one game in each round, along with alternating games in the tiebreakers. If they win the tournament, we can crown them the first Siamese twins of championship chess.
Nov-18-12  whiteshark: <Women's World Chess Championship Rd 3 Tiebreak> I'd like to <pick one <>> but there's no choice posibble (in all three offered bets).

Sneaky: Yay the betting works now! And a big thumbs-up to the pick 3, us underdogs need a miracle at this point!

Chessgames Bookie: Since draws are impossible in these mini-matches we've invented a new type of bet just for the occasion:

Women's World Championship Rd 4: SUPER PICK FOUR

Basically you are picking the players who will participate in the semi-finals. 16 possibilities. Good luck!

Nov-20-12  brankat: Should be interesting. Thanks Bookie!
Nov-22-12  truefriends: Can we bet on the <Round 4 tiebreaks> of the Womens World Chess Championships today?
Nov-22-12  truefriends: Or the FIDE Grand Prix Tashkent games?

Chessgames Bookie: New bets are up!

<SwitchingQuylthulg: <Bookie> Please note all bets on round 2 of FIDE Grand Prix Tashkent (2012) closed an hour late> Oh, our mistake. The new batch closes at 4:00am EST.

We'll run a correction on those bets. If there were any bets during that period refunds will be released (whether it would have won or lost).

Nov-23-12  wordfunph: i'm waiting for one of our comrades to dump $1k each for draws in Tashkent round 3, tiktaktiktak..

whoever is guilty, raise your hand! :)

Chessgames Bookie: Like a dope, I labeled all of the round 6 games as "round 5". However this doesn't change the nature of the wagers, so all bets are honored.

Round 7 bets will go up shortly.

Chessgames Bookie: Also we have betting up for Women's World Championship Final game 3: Ushenina-Stefanova
