Sneaky: I wish I could loan cavaleiro some of my extra chessbucks... for a NOMINAL interest rate of course :D
Jul-25-06  NakoSonorense: Fuuny. Last week I was like in 19th place. Now I am, without having wagered a single chessbuck, in 10th place. :)

That's just good betting.

Jul-26-06  percyblakeney: Surprising that Carlsen is such a huge favourite here at the time of writing, 1.91 as winner with black while Radjabov is 4.53 in spite of having white, but it may well change a bit...

Biel Rd 3: Radjabov vs Carlsen

Jul-26-06  soughzin: Ahh I forgot to bet 2 days in a row. Betting would have ended at 4am my time so I tried to make my bets before I went to bed and at least I'd wager 4-5 hours before it ends but of course I forgot lol. Lucky Europeans and their timezones.

Sneaky: What fruitcake wasted 5 clams on the "OTHER" bet for Biel Rd 4: Bruzon vs Carlsen: First move ? What do you think it's going to be, a Grob attack?
Jul-26-06  percyblakeney: ...or maybe L Bruzon vs Stellwagen, 2004
Jul-26-06  soughzin: Will we get to know beforehand for the head to head dortmund matches who has white first? Not a big deal but it would make a difference since the first game is the tie-breaker.

Sneaky: <Wow 45-1 odds on Nf3 for the first move when he played it 1/6th of the time according to this database.> It goes to show, people hate to make bets that they will probably lose. If the odds are 1 in 6, only 1 person in 20 wants to take the bet.

I attribute my success this leg from just betting longshots. I almost always lose, but you just need to hit one good longshot to make up for a lot of losses.

Jul-30-06  DCP23: I have live bets right now for 3657 C$ total, my personal record. Wish me luck!
