Oct-24-06  soughzin: Pretty slow so I'll throw in another comment. It might be a good idea to check those participants who have zero posts on chessgames. Why go through the trouble to be a member and play the game if you never post on anything? The leader at the moment is one of these.
Oct-25-06  Holden: For the third leg in a row I have worked my way up to the 5000's. The first leg, I kept betting, went broke, and ended up with the Loanshark calling me names. The second leg, I quit betting, ended up getting bumped off the top ten, tried a longshot on the last day of the leg to get back in the top ten and lost.

Now I'm sitting on 5995, comfortably in second. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should keep betting or hold.

cu8sfan: Thanks Judit! I raked in quite some cash after your wins over Topalov and your overall win! (-:
Nov-01-06  Maria Nikolova: I have a question. Is Cap D'Agde: Rd 2 Knockout: Radjabov vs "Volotkin" means Cap D'Agde: Rd 2 Knockout: Radjabov vs Volokitin?

Sneaky: <Holden> I was in your situation last leg. My advice: you better be "holden on tight" :-)
Nov-05-06  Joshka: What's going on?...I have over 1800 bucks wanted to bet 1000 on the Kramnik-Fritz match and all I can bet is 500??
Nov-05-06  Joshka: Tal Memorial Tourney starts tomorrow, why is the betting closed today??
Nov-05-06  soughzin: Yea I'd really like to get in a couple bets on the Tal Memorial if possible.
Nov-05-06  suenteus po 147: <Chessgames Bookie> Will there be no round-by-round bettings for the Tal Memorial?
Nov-06-06  DCP23: <suenteus po 147>: I second that!
Nov-06-06  DCP23: <Chessgames Bookie>

It's Leko-Grischuk, not Grischuk-Leko.
The russian version of the site gives the correct pairing. Besides, otherwise Leko gets three blacks in a row, which is not realistic (unless he plays Topalov in a match, of course).

WannaBe: Oh goodie, more chance for me to lose chess bucks.
Nov-06-06  syracrophy: <Chessgames Bookie> Hi! By the time, who's the user that has the highest numer of chessbucks?

I'm by now startin to use this. I have bet 200 chessbucks on a draw between Carlsen and Morozevich, and 100 more on the victory of Leko over Grischuk

Nov-06-06  technical draw: This 200 limit is for weekend gamblers. Bring back the man's game, unlimited betting. I'll never catch up if I'm limited to 200.
Nov-07-06  DCP23: <I have bet 200 chessbucks on a draw between Carlsen and Morozevich>

Looks like you don't value your C$s all that much.

Nov-07-06  syracrophy: <DCP23>

The bets are a game of risks. You take them and risk to lose, or you don't take the risks and you'll always lose!

But if the game were of real money, I won't even bet a single dollar! =)

Nov-07-06  syracrophy: DANG!

I lost my bet on the game Leko-Grischuk, I bet for Leko's victory, and it was a draw! =(

But at least I guessed the draw between Carlsen and Morozevich! =)

Nov-07-06  DCP23: <But at least I guessed the draw between Carlsen and Morozevich! =)>

I have to admit, that was an incredible feat.

Nov-08-06  syracrophy: <DCP23> Of how much chessbucks are your bets?
Nov-08-06  DCP23: <syracrophy>: <<DCP23> Of how much chessbucks are your bets?>

Here ChessBookie Game Help Page
they have a table with betting limits.

Nov-08-06  syracrophy: <DCP23> I know. I know that the limit is 200 chessbucks for bet at most, and 5 chessbucks at least. But how many chessbucks do you put in risk?

I've got a golden ticket!"

Nov-08-06  DCP23: <syracrophy>: <But how many chessbucks do you put in risk?>

Up to my limit easily ;)

Nov-13-06  Bob726: Does anyone know when this leg is going to end?
