 | | Sneaky: Curse you Morozevich, curse you!! Why can't you learn how to LOSE a game like other players? Huh? Did you forget how to do it?? |
| Dec-29-06 | | DCP23: Sneaky, everything has its bright side. Thanks to Morozevich, we're now neighbors on the chessbookie rating list. You're the worst of the 10,000 crowd, I'm the best of the 1,000 crowd. Neat, huh? ;) |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: ♔ CORUS 2007 ♔
The main event: Corus: WINNER As we often do, this is a "no tiebreak" bet. In the event that two or more players tie for 1st in total points, we will pay off all tickets for players tied at the top, and ignore Corus tiebreak protocol (if there is any). We also have four "Head-to-Head" matchups, and possibly more to come. For these bets, we pick two players in the lineup and compare their final number of points. In the event that they tie, we turn to their individual games against each other to break the tie. If they are still tied, we will refund the bets. (We decided to include the refund clause because last time we had head-to-head matchups too many people were confused at the meaning of the "Tie" bet.) The grudge-match everybody's been waiting for - Corus: Head-to-Head: Topalov vs Kramnik The battle of the youth - Corus: Head-to-Head: Carlsen vs Karjakin The winner's bout (last year's Corus winner vs last year's Linares winner) - Corus: Head-to-Head: Anand vs Aronian A Dutch Treat - Corus: Head-to-Head: Tiviakov vs Van Wely There is still plenty of time left before the tournament starts on January 12 so take your time, consider carefully, and watch the odds before you take a position. Good luck!! |

| Jan-05-07 | | DCP23: And once again, we meet with Sneaky in the rating list, at the border of the 10'000-ers and 1'000-ers. |

 | | Sneaky: When Amonatov wins tomorrow everybody will eat their shorts and I'll rocket to the top of the list!! |
| Jan-06-07 | | DCP23: <Sneaky> A sensible plan. Let me point out just a single, slight hitch: Ivanchuk. |
| Jan-06-07 | | TrueBlue: I ain't eating no shorts :( |

Jan-06-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Wagering is open on the quarterfinals of the ACP world rapid cup. |
| Jan-06-07 | | soughzin: ahhhh Harikrishna almost took down Moro but couldn't quite do it. Further I fall. |
| Jan-08-07 | | jokinas: After blowing the quarterfinals, I got both the semifinals correct in the Chessbookie game. Why no betting on the Final? |
Jan-08-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: The final match of the ACP world rapid cup will begin shortly. ACP World Rapid Cup: Final: Leko vs Ivanchuk |
| Jan-08-07 | | TIMER: If Gelfand had won his armagedden game against Leko, I would have had guaranteed 8000 chessbucks worth if he lost the final, 18000 if he won it! (so close yet so far. You need things like this to work to win starting with 10 times less than others and with betting constraints- quite a handicap) Although I am a fool for not winning an earlier leg (let alone coming top ten) as I became reckless instead of stopping. |
| Jan-09-07 | | DCP23: Will we get bets on the winner(s) of Groups B and C? They're great tournaments in their own right! |
| Jan-11-07 | | jokinas: Anand has won 5 Corus titles and is justifiably the favorite this year in the betting. |
Jan-12-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: We have added wagering on the group B and group C sections of the Corus chess tournament. |
| Jan-12-07 | | DCP23: <Chessgames Bookie> Thanks! |
Jan-12-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Betting on rd 1 of the Corus A group is now open.
