Chessgames Bookie: If Ivanchuck is the solitary winner for any of the wagers then all tickets for that wager will be refunded. However if there is a tie including Ivanchuk, then the bet will stand. For example, if Ivanchuk and Topalov tie for "most moves played" then we will pay off the Topalov ticket and all other tickets lose. But if Ivanchuk has far and away the most moves, then all tickets for that wager are refunded. The same logic holds true for the Quinella, the Winner, etc.

We are sorry that the Radjabov-Ivanchuk replacement was announced so late; other we could offer new betting lines for Ivanchuk--but don't worry, there will be new bets coming up soon to cater to Chuky fans.

Feb-19-07  TIMER: <Chessgames Bookie> Hello, I was just wondering when Linares round 2 tickets would be paid off, as I might like access to them for future bets (from Linares round three onwards)!

Maybe we should get interest when this happens- just kidding, although you still have to pay the loanshark when you can't pay back because of it.

Thanks.

Feb-19-07  Bob726: Yeah, i need those chessbucks to bet for round 3...
Feb-19-07  TIMER: As I have been frozen out of the 'action' today, I think that I will send the Loanshark and his boys round to demand my (and some of his) chessbucks from the Chess Bookie, when you realise how lucky 'break a leg' really is.

I am just kidding, but seriously I hope that I get it in time to make some more bets in Linares, Wimbledon of Chess, especially with Linares legend Ivanchuk there.

WannaBe: Round 2 is still not paid?!?! Gonna demand interest on my winning here. =)
Feb-19-07  Recoiler: I know what you guys are saying. When I actually win some bets, I want them paid off!
Feb-19-07  NakoSonorense: Stop complaining. I lost all my bets and I have no hurry. Chessbookie, please take your time.

Leko-Aronian: Aronian leads Leko with the score of +2 -1 =4 with one of the win in Amber Rapid, and one of the draw in Amber Blindfold. When Leko have white, he is +1 -1 =1, with the draw coming in the Amber Blindfold.

Anand-Morozevich: These two are tied at +7 -7 =8, and the score include games from Amber Rapid, Blindfold. When Anand have white, he is +4 -3 =4 against Moro.

Ivanchuk-Carlsen: These two have never played against each other.

Topalov-Svidler: These two are tied at +9 -9 =11, and the score include games from Amber Rapid, Blindfold. When Topalov have white, he is +3 -3 =7 against Svidler.

Feb-19-07  Recoiler: Topalov, the heavy favorite to win the tourney, is +0 -1 =1 after two rounds. The underdogs like Morozevich are looking better all the time.
Feb-19-07  RonB52734: <although you still have to pay the loanshark when you can't pay back because of it> That's the thing about loansharks. They've heard every version of "the dog ate my homework" and they never blink.

WannaBe: What is going on here? Looks like CG.com took a three day weekend too.

None of the tickets from Round 2 of Morelia-Linare have been paid, none of round 3 score/PGN for the tournament have been updated.

Nor have the tickets for round 3 been paid... =(

Feb-19-07  NakoSonorense: I think they ran away with our money... I shouldn't have trusted them.
Feb-20-07  Whitehat1963: With round three concluded, Leko continues to lead all players in fewest moves played. Standings

Leko - 107
Topalov - 109
Anand - 116
Ivanchuk - 121
Aronian - 122
Svidler - 138
Carlsen - 139
Morozevich - 162

I predict he will start to separate himself from the pack in the next couple of rounds.

Feb-20-07  Touch of Knight: <Whitehat1963> I think Aronian has played 112 and Moro 152.
Feb-20-07  Touch of Knight: <Chessgames Bookie> <Who will play the most moves during the entire Linares-Morelia tournament? We will add the number of moves from each game and total them for each player; the one with the greatest total will be declared the winner. (For example, if the game ends on 51.Rd1+ then both players will have "51" added to their total.)>

Shouldn't this actually be 51 moves for white and only 50 for black?

Feb-20-07  Recoiler: <Touch of Knight>, that would make more sense to me, too. I guess we just have to live with it, though.

Chessgames Bookie: <Shouldn't this actually be 51 moves for white and only 50 for black?> It might have been, except for the fact that it explicitly states otherwise. It's easier to compute at the end of the affair this way.

Svidler-Leko: Svidler leads it with +8 -3 =21, these numbers do include results from Amber Blindfold and Rapid. When Svidler have white, he is undefeated with +5 -0 =9.

Carlsen-Topalov: Only one game in Database, Topalov vs Carlsen, 2007

Morozevich-Ivanchuk: Ivanchuk leads it with +10 -6 =3, (including Amber Blindfold and Rapid play). When Moro have white, he is +4 -4 =3 against Ivanchuk.

Aronian-Anand: The have played 5 games, with Anand leading +1 -0 =4. When Aronian have white, he is +0 -0 =2 against Anand.

Annie K.: Aeroflot is over, and Evgeny Alekseev won with 7/9. That would be the "Other" ticket... ;)

Sneaky: Every poker player knows that there comes a time in a tournament when you have to throw your tournament life on the line and hope you survive. My chessbucks are all out on the line today. I need some luck! I bet against the draw in every game, I predict that Svidler-Leko will play the longest game, I predict that Morozevich-Ivanchuk will play the shortest game. In short I'm hoping for something slightly unexpected to happen! If things don't work out, that fat guy with the bronze chess set is going to have my head on a platter :-P
