 | | WannaBe: <LIFE Master AJ> Thanks for the advice. :-) I would love to go back and pick up at that point and play Nh5 and see what Rybka would do. <brankat> Yes, I'm ready for Ms. Polgar. Got my behind all firmed up and ready for the kicking. I'd be lucky if I last 20 moves. (both colour) |

| Jun-08-06 | | EmperorAtahualpa: <WannaBe> No matter how much I dislike AJ, he does have a good point. Here is one of my favorite examples of knights on the rim of the board: B Kantsler vs A Greenfeld, 2005 |

 | | WannaBe: I do wonder, if people are following this game, and if so, what is your opinion on the position or the moves played so far. The other game, comp. vs. comp. is on <me to play> forum, and Shredder took/accepted a really strange line. Black has virtually no development and white firmly controls the H-file. |
| Jun-09-06 | | babakova: Im looking at it from time to time and I can say I was kinda surprised by white capturing with the queen on b1 when rooks were exchanged, and also allowing Qxa4 and following up with Qb2 looked suspect... Bear in mind these are (very) moderately skilled human reflections. |

| Jun-09-06 | | Dionyseus: <WannaBe> Rybka was not expecting g5. I will let it analyse while I sleep, I shall post my move at about 9am New York time. |
| Jun-09-06 | | Jilted Rook: <I, as human, think this software is nuts, perfectly free pawn> Except that taking on d3 opens up the file on the backward pawn on d6 and allows white some much needed breathing room. Black's knight is comfortable where it is - dominating - it will move but only at the cost of a weakening pawn move on the White kingside. Black's structure and space advantage looks good here, while White's pawns look submissive. This could decide the game in Black's favour. |
