Nov-01-06  Isolani: <'Tis true, my dear friend...> Hmm.

Now I have a question. I know that Mr. Loaf has released albums subsequent to Bat I and prior to Bat II. Wouldn't those albums in question be II, III and IV respectively? I think we are all being sucked in to a slick marketing campaign here.

WannaBe: <Isolani> In my opinion, the 'Bats' series are different than the other released albums.

I think it might be easier to describe them in other terms...

Let's see, in the Gunslinger series by Stephen King (if you read him =) there were numerous books between the series.

George Lucas had some 'side projects' between the Star Wars movies too.

Nov-01-06  Isolani: I see. Please pardon my Meat Loaf "neophyte-ness".

WannaBe: <you vs yourself> Indy is an-indoor team, I was surprised they beat Denver. (But they've always had Broncos numbers.) New England have always had Indy's numbers...

I think/say New England wins. Touchdown or less.

Nov-01-06  Isolani: <I did not meant to offend, please accept my apology if my post came across as such.> You did not come across as offensive at all. I sincerely was just joking with you in an affable fashion in my last post.

  WannaBe: <Isolani> :-)
Nov-01-06  you vs yourself: Before sunday's game, people were trying to compare Denver's defense to some of the best in history. 2 TDs allowed in 6 games? 13 straight home wins? Even Tom Brady couldn't figure them out. But Peyton just destroyed their defense.

One more astounding statistic, courtesy of Don Banks of si.com: <The Colts have now won 28 regular-season games in a row in which either a playoff berth or their playoff seeding was on the line. In other words, toss out the garbage games they played late in the 2004 and 2005 seasons, when their playoff seed was already determined, and they haven't lost a meaningful regular-season game since Week 8 of 2004.>

Nov-01-06  brankat: <WAnnaBe> Hi there my friend. When You have a moment, could You please drop by at my forum and check the post I left there about an hour ago. It is now 10:00 PM, Pacific standard. I would really like to hear Your opinion on the matter since You are into a computer/electronics related field. Also You may have encountered similar cases. Thank You.
Nov-01-06  eggwipe: <Indy is an-indoor team, I was surprised they beat Denver. (But they've always had Broncos numbers.) New England have always had Indy's numbers...> And Manning's. Brady is 7-1(!) against him. The '1' being last year.

Actually, the Colts may well win this one too, especially if the weather holds. But I wouldn't back them in the play-offs - even with homefield advantage. The Colts are a behemoth in the regular season, but they (and he - Manning) don't get the job done in the crunch (cf. New England and Brady). Remember that play-off game at New England two years ago? Ouch.

Nov-01-06  you vs yourself: <eggwipe> It's 6-1, but Brady has the best coach in NFL, a monster defense and also he used to have the best kicker on his side.

On the other hand, Manning has been losing big games since his college years. But I hope it changes this year.

WannaBe: Exactly 3 weeks to go before American Open. Time to cut back on the Kibitz'n and start looking at games more. =)
Nov-01-06  eggwipe: <It's 6-1, but Brady has the best coach in NFL, a monster defense and also he used to have the best kicker on his side.> Brady hasn't had Manning's receivers though. Obviously, there's more to a team than its' QB, but I think Brady is the best in the league and a BIG reason (along with Belichick) why the Patriots have three Superbowls.

<I hope it changes this year.> And I hope not! It may well do though - New England probably won't have the benefit of a snowstorm if they play each other. But the Colts wouldn't fill me with confidence if I was their fan.

Nov-01-06  brankat: <WannaBe> Thank You for responding.

I do have just one e-mail address (at yahoo.ca), which I opened a year ago in order to join CG.com. Until yesterday I had never received one single piece of e-mail (except from You in June :-)), other than the ones from GKnot.com, QueenA.com & SchemingM. com to advise me about my opponents moves in correspondence games :-)

Anyway, I suppose there is no perfect "protection", other than to use reasonable caution and common sense.

As You had remarked in one of Your posts a few months ago (relating to <Open Defence>'s "positional manouvering" apptitude), Your Forum, and now mine: "..dare to go where no one has gone before!" :-)

Thank You once again.

And 99,999,999 of them are useless. =)

Nov-01-06  dakgootje: <In my e-mail reply I used the full word, of course, but only one letter (F) in my forum, since I've noticed it being done around CG.com more or less regularly. But apparently the bosses took exception to that one. I thought the warning to users would have been appreciated, but it looks like I was wrong. I hope they will leave this one alone.>

Censors are quite common on internet fora, online games etc nowadays. Of course, people soon realise this and for the sake of whatever make the word just a little else to avoid the censors, with often the only reason that they can swear while others cant.

now, this site has also a censor (SOAP), which can easily be manipulated aswell and therefore happens more than one can count before driving one insane. now, normally at online games, forums etc users first get a nice warning and if they make common practise out of it after some time, depending on the site for how long, they get banned or maybe even IP-banned. This site is however quite understaffed which allowes the manipulations flow rich and cover the land in a waste of swearing words, if it wasnt for the fact most of us here not the first ones to scream and shout without thinking against everything they dont immediately like.

Now is there a difference between a NN who made an profile every other day or a brankat? Of course! You are not one of the least known or least respected fellows around and generally write well-written posts. Because of that your posts will be more written and seen more important than the NN mentioned earlier on. You have to act, post and behave like a mature man who can live without swearing, and else can stop himself from posting it, and be an example for others.

Where would this world be if we see the ones who inspire us swearing, screaming and yelling at each other or just because they are annoyed of something? Wouldnt we adept the bevahiour in some way even though it might be not in our nature? This is what would be horrible for this site, if the role-models would roam the streets swearing. can't fine the words to write what i want to make clear.

You are no NN, use that knowledge

Nov-01-06  brankat: <WannaBe> I see Your forum has been sanitized spic and span :-) I apologize for the trouble I may have caused You. Cheers!
