WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

Feb-24-07  Ingolf: Hi Wannabe. I'd like to help you with that Victor Borge thing, but there's no such word as "Negi" in Danish. How is it pronounced? Maybe you could spell it using the phonetic alphabet?

WannaBe: <Ingolf> If you watch the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWqF... video, Mr. Borge says it about 1/2 way through the clip. The clip is about 6+ minutes.

The clip is in English, with what I *believe* to be Danish sub-title.

I very much appreciate your help!

WannaBe: Okay, he says it at the 3:25 mark of the video... The audio is very clear.

Oh, the video is 8:10, not 6+ minutes as I previous posted.

Feb-24-07  Ingolf: I tried to do a google search of Victor Borge and Negi, and it came up with a danish blog where someone recalls Borge explaining how easy it was to learn Japanese: "Negi means onion and negi negi means two onions." Maybe the audience in the video were familiar with that joke?

WannaBe: <Ingolf> Ahhhhh... Yes, yes. Onion breath is the reference he's making.

Thank you, silly me, thinking it was Danish.

Feb-24-07  Larsker: The Borge subtitles are in Dutch.

WannaBe: <Larsker> Thanks, guess I was wrong on both... 0-2.
Feb-24-07  Dr.Lecter: That was a nice avatar you found for <jessicafischerqueen> If I get a full membership, you can find a fitting avatar for me too, for a price?

WannaBe: <Dr.Lecter> The 'Full Story' is that I found a picture of the BumbleBee-man (from the Simpsons TV show) and she explored the web-site, then found one she wanted.

I can't claim credit, nor do I want to, for her discovery. The web-site I posted is the last Kibitz that's dated Feb-23-2007.

Feel free to explore that site, and pick/submit something you enjoy. =)

WannaBe: <you vs yourself> If you don't like the Marlins, or don't like baseball, I'll bring my traveling chess set, we'll play blitz in the stands...

In between eating hotdogs, cracker jacks, peanuts, and sipping on beer! =)

Feb-25-07  NakoSonorense: Who's on stage? Hahahahaha.
Feb-25-07  you vs yourself: No one here likes the marlins. They knocked us out of the playoffs in '03, when everyone thought we're going to the world series after 60 yrs. You chose the right game, <wannabe>.

Just don't try to catch any foul balls, ok?;-)

1) add <JoeWms> to ignore list.

2) remove <JoeWms> from Christmas card list.

3) remove <JoeWms> from birthday card list.

4) send lumps of coal to <JoeWms>

Feb-25-07  midknightblue: Hi WannaBe. Hope things are going well. I have a big tourney in Connecticut in a little over a month. Nothing else much new here.

WannaBe: <midknightblue> Oh, yeah, when ever I'm on FICS and you're on, I try to sneak a peek at your blitz'n games!
Feb-25-07  JoeWms: <WannaBe> First time to see a YouTube on my screen since I got DSL. Video is something thrown in for good pleasure, as far as I'm concerned. The DSL is so Lois could get to use a telephone once in a while. It saved a marriage!

"Who's on Stage?" is an upgrade of the venerable "Who's on First?" by Abbott and Costello. BTW, Is that oldie on a video I can download?

"Barfman" is what I saw on first look. Then I put my trusty 5X glass on it.

Oh, the splinted finger you saw last time we met. I've still got the splint. It's a repetitive stress injury called "trigger finger." Ny left middle finger is always pointed straight out. Good thing I ride in the passenger seat, otherwise I might get in big trouble.

Parting line: I wondered why the ball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.

Wheeeeee

Good job with your forum page. Nice and active with lots of participants. Hello JoeWms! what's new? Also hello you vs yourself! Wannabe - I should get one of those monroi things like your buddy got. What was his name again, sorry I forgot. Nice guy that you introduced me to, at the Vegas tourney. If you could look at my tourney games you guys could email me later the next day or whatever to explain to me any areas I need to work on :) I know there are a lot!
