WannaBe: So, the Tata Steel blitz were held in India, and players have 6 days to fly to NED for the next (or 2026 first) major event... What is the flight path? Here are some ideas: https://www.flightroutes.com/CCU-AMS

WannaBe: So I really kinda sorta, maybe late into the details of that Indiana/Oregon game. But I saw this article: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/articl... The Indiana player whose pick-6 started off the game? D'Angelo <Pond>. Not making this sheet up.

jessicafischerqueen: Hey <MannBee> I tried to get a drink at your new <bar and grill> dressed in a <bee costume>, and the bartender said "We don't get many Bees in here."

So I said "Well at these prices, you won't get many more."

Just thought I'd let you know since you're the manager.

jessicafischerqueen: Hey <MannBee> those are fantastic pictures from <Vegas>!!

You look a lot like one of our most Popular <Canadian Hip Hop DeeJays>.

His name is <Kid Koala>.

I met him in <Montreal> once.

I'm not suggesting you look like a <Koala Bear>.

But you do have a somewhat <apian aspect>, which makes sense I suppose.

Good to see <GM Shabalov> getting right drunk with <WhiskeyRebel>!!

Just goes to show you not ALL <GMs> take themselves as seriously as some of the GMs who have a personal page on this site who shall remain nameless.

<Short>

Ok I couldn't help it.

WannaBe: I think I look nothing like Kid Koala...

See pic of me with <JoeWms> taken last year: http://mysite.verizon.net/jyu1/Clow...

jessicafischerqueen: HOLY CRAP <JoeWms> looks EXACTLY like <Ernest Hemingway>!!

I like your hat a lot, <MannBee>.

I was wondering how you earned the trust of so many members here at CG.com such that they would meet you in real life and let you post photos of them as well.

Then I realized, of course!! Nobody could refuse <MannBee>, as he is a noted <superhero>.

I guess fame has its privileges!!

BTW <Joe> has the most wonderful smile as well.

Tell him I said "Good luck with editing the final proofs for <The Old Man and the Sea>".

We always meet in public... or at chess tournaments first. The second time <JoeWms> and I met up, he was having some computer problems, and also he wanted to give me a few books he no longer needed.

So we met at a Denny's first then headed over to his place. Otherwise, I always meet people at a public event/place.

WannaBe: Let me see, I get 17 <Million> (before taxes...) and I get a free car, plane tickets, and you'll pay for my housing rent?!?!

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/...

Oh, yeah, I get deferred money, which earns me 5.5 percent interest. As Yakov Smirnoff would say: "Only in America, what a country!"

jessicafischerqueen: You are <suzuki> the ace pitcher!!

Not <Kid Koala>.

<Kid Koala> is not as rich.

It must be wonderful being <MannBee>, and also a member of the <League of Justice> as well.

Jul-18-07  chessmoron: <Jess> Isn't Joe William a handsome devil at his mid 70s? I think every grannies will be buzzing.

BTW send you a bee-mail.

WannaBe: Here's something you don't see everyday...

Cubs 12, Giants 1. Cubs reliever Gallagher got a <Save> !!

Zambrano pitched 5 innings (min. required for the starting pitcher to get the win) and Gallagher pitched 4 innings to earn the save.

Black (that would be me) to move... And as a hint, I lost this game.

  jessicafischerqueen: What a great feature!

OK I guess <MannBee> played....

<Ng7>

Will there be more <What would <MannBee> play> puzzles?

Will you keep track of the winners?

Will you award medals at the end?

I'm very excited.

SwitchingQuylthulg: <WannaBe> You surely didn't play 1...Kd8, did you?!
Jul-19-07
Premium Chessgames Member
WannaBe: <jessicafischerqueen> I did not play Ng7, possibly more puzzle, see how many more games I can screw up on, I will <NOT> keep track of winners, and no, there will be no medals at the end.

<SwitchingQuylthulg> Almost as bad... but I did not play ...Kd8

Jul-19-07  Ragh: <WannaBe> Too bad, coz Kd8 loses on the spot. Another interesting line would be 1..Ke6! 2.Re3 Kd5 3.Re5 and black succesfully manages to lose the bishop.

WannaBe: <Ragh> Correct! That is what I played... and I thought I could sac the knight, pick off the pawn and get 2 passed pawns...

WannaBe: Final thought on this game, at the given position (FEN posted earlier) the correct move, is 36...Kf8!

Shredder gave that a -2 and change for white...

jessicafischerqueen: Rats! NO medals and <Rah!> won as usual.

Rahhhhh! Aren't you happy enought with your "Triple Crown" triumph in <Wilson's Forum>???

Well I can't wait for the next <What did MannBee do> anyways.

Jul-19-07  Ragh: <Jess> My "Triple Crown" didn't get enshrined anywhere :(

That is why I am still in the hunt.

jessicafischerqueen: Curse that <Wilson>!! He even knows how to make the <medal chess piece thingys>.

I think a STERN LETTER is in order. He should keep track of his prediction winners and have a <Hall of Fame>.

You are the first <Triple Crown Winner> since <Affirmed> did it in 1978.

And he was a horse!

WannaBe: Okay, apparently that steamed bun story (see earlier kibitz) was a fabrication by the media. (That's a first, aye?)

Not that the fourth estate would ever lie, or do something against people's wishes! (Like publishing an early review of HP book...)

jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee> I heard THE WHOLE book had been scanned and posted on the Net already.

Is this a rumor?

Jul-19-07
Premium Chessgames Member
WannaBe: <jessicafischerqueen> Well, I'm sure there are sites that claims to have a copy of the book available.

But is it real? How do you know?

Say I (speed) read a copy of this book (from Site-A), then I read another (from Site-B) and they are different.

How do I know which one is 'real' or are both fake?? I do things the old fashioned way. I get an actual book and read it. =)
