WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

Dec-22-07  Robin01: I choose <hitman84> in the Best Written post category.
Dec-22-07  amadeus: Best written: <AllergicToTurtles>
Dec-22-07  chessmoron: <DomdanielS>
Dec-22-07  technical draw: Best written post; JFQ
Dec-22-07  Larsker: <TheAlchemist: I know this is supposed to be only for fun, but perhaps this <Best Written Post> category could either be divided into best written posts in general and a specific one (plus the links, otherwise it's pointless) or else define it better, it is a bit confusing as it stands now.>

I agree. Say the name of the kibitzer and point to the specific post. Or maybe repeat the post in question here.

This is not just for fun. By winning funniest kibitzer I was invited to next years Oscars. I get to sit next to Jennifer Lopez. <Wannabe> by winning most helpful is invited to the Oscars too, only he has to clean up after the event is over and I'm in the Limo with J-Lo and friends!

WannaBe: I will be there as a 'seat-filler'...
Dec-22-07  chessmoron: Grammys not Oscars. J-Lo at Oscar night? Hilarious.
Dec-22-07  technical draw: <chessmoron> J-Lo is one of the best actresses of all time. "Gigli" and "Monster-in-law" are two classics that will endure like Lawrence of Arabia and Casablanca.
Dec-22-07  technical draw: In addition only Barbara Stanwyck and Joan Crawford are her equals.

chancho: My vote goes to <DrKodos> for best written post. Get a load at how he tears into Viktor Korchnoi!

<drkodos: Korchnoi is a rectal pore and always has been. His chessic accomplishments and the harassments in his life off the board in no way excuse his recent boorish and childish tantrums. I almost feel sorry for him, but refuse to have any sympathy because he never liked life. Even before all the bullcrap, he was always a nasty human being, and still is a waste of DNA and protein.>

Domdaniel: Thanks, everyone. How I managed to win without once using the phrase "rectal pore" I'll never understand. I don't even know how I've lived this long without putting those two words together.

I'm not wordy.

Here's a vote: <Suenteus po 147>, best game collection(s).

Dec-23-07  sanyas: Ron's.
Dec-23-07  technical draw: I vote for my best written post:technical draw: One of my standard "joke" jobs was being a Gypsy cab driver at the El-Al terminal at JFK. After studying deeply the history and culture of the Gypsy (Rroma) people I will discontinue use of that gag. Of course no intentional disrespect was intended, only my ignorance of their history, of their persecution and the mis-understanding and stereotyping of this nation was the cause. The Rroma People (nation) has a great culture and language and have contributed a lot to art and music.

In their diaspora they live virtually in every country in the world and have suffered persecution and loss of civil rights similar to that of the Jews (In the holocaust 350,000 to 800,000 were killed in concentration camps).

The stereotyping of the Roma has caused all kinds of prejudices and like most stereotypes they are completely wrong.

My sincere apologies to any Roma member of the site and I hope others that read this note can get a greater understanding of the Roma (Gypsy, Gitano, Ziguener, Travellers, et all) nation...Thank you TD.
