WannaBe: <keypusher> One doth wonder, if the Million man and then woman march had the (opposite) affect on their cause. (Maybe much like how BLM have, with their own corruption and how Blue have avoided mentioning BLM)

WannaBe: Observed something weird. Using W11, Chrome Version 141.0.7390.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) the divide line between kibitz'n are some normal thin-ness, while others are randomly a bit thicker. Not a big deal, just want to comment on this. (both regular mode and incog mode)

WannaBe: Clev. Cavs, if they lose this game at home, it could be a serious blow to their psyche...

They signed Shaq to beef up the middle, and get some big bodies to bang around, and what happens?

WannaBe: Ya know, for what the Redskins are doing on the field, I'd be the first one to dress up as an Indian on All Hollow's Eve and protest that they change their name.

They are really embarassing the real braves...

Phony Benoni: But what could the NFL Team from Washington change their name to? The Great White Fathers?
Oct-28-09  dakgootje: could go geographical and call them the MacPot's
Oct-28-09  hangingenprise: how do the indians feel in cleveland seeing both pitchers in the series.

did utley also play for the indians?

WannaBe: Chase, is from my home town of Long Beach, CA, but he went to my rival high school, Poly high (also of Cameron Diaz, Willie McGinnest, DeSean Jackson, etc...)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase_...

Oct-29-09  NakoSonorense: Do you know anyone famous who went to your high school?

I know Oscar de la Hoya went to mine, but that's it. I don't know of anyone else.

Oct-29-09  hangingenprise: so if you went to poly than you would of been school mates and since utley plays for the phillies than you would be on the yank.............. aruuuuuuggggggghhhhh the twilight zone

WannaBe: If I had gone to Poly, I can then claim I know Cameron Diaz, she graduated a year/two years ahead of me...

The only person Wilson High in Long Beach that I know of is Bobby Grich, ex-baseball player. A couple of water polo player (Alvarez) and volleyball players also went to Wilson High.

The female swimmer who missed out on the last Olympics because of a false drug test, also went to Wilson.

'Less, of course, I become a chess world champion, then I'd be the famous alum!!

WannaBe: That UCLA @ Oregon St. (-9) have gone up to -10.5, it wouldn't surprise me if it goes to 14 pts by kick-off.

But I am locked in at -10.5!

Oct-29-09  NakoSonorense: <wannabe> Apparently, Snoop Dogg also went to Poly at the same time as Cameron Diaz. But I'm sure you only regret not having shared a classroom with Cameron, right?!
Oct-29-09  dakgootje: Speaking of Cameron's highschool-time [one of those timeless and recurring subjects isn't it], I could've sworn I have some psychology book with a highschool-graduating picture or something similar... I think to illustrate how people change (or don't) over time.
Oct-29-09  NakoSonorense: Here's an interesting video showing how much a person can change over the course of six years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B26...

If you found that disturbing, I can't blame you. That's why I rather see this video:

Oct-30-09  Jim Bartle: Long Beach Poly alum Gene Washington was the All-American star on my college's football team, then an All-Pro with the 49ers.

WannaBe: Vote first, vote often!! http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way...

About Poly, I was at the game of Poly high at Wilson (my school) home coming game tonight, I left after the third quarter, with Wilson trailing 27-0.

I went back to the pub, and about 45 min. later, heard reports that there was a shooting after the football game.

http://www.presstelegram.com/ci_136...

10th street and Ximeno Ave is right where the front door to the high school is at. And, it is about 400 yards away from my condo's front door...

It is very, very unfortunate, that people can't enjoy a sporting event, and/or home coming (It was a sold out game, because Poly and Wilson are cross-town rivals, and Poly was the first high school in Long Beach, Wilson second) due to idiots that ruins it for others.

WannaBe: More news on that shooting at my high school. http://www.presstelegram.com/ci_136...
Oct-31-09  hangingenprise: that is indeed sad! i did lots of work in that area and went passed wilson many a time. the belmont heights area and down to the shore.
Oct-31-09  Jim Bartle: Miracles have yet to cease! My Buenos Aires-based ESPN2 is showing USC-Oregon.

Not so miraculous: Brent Musburger is calling the game. But yes!!!! The commentary is Spanish only.

WannaBe: Did not know Brent spoke Spanish!! Oh, I screwed up on that Oregon State pick, the Beavs failed to score a single point in the third quarter... Otherwise, I'd be a winner...
Oct-31-09  Jim Bartle: I definitely consider it unfair that Oregon is not letting the defense, or the spectators, know who's carrying the ball.
Oct-31-09  A.G. Argent: How 'bout them Trojans? Three point favorites indeed. Most points scored against them in the entire Carroll era. Chip Kelly is the new genius on the block.
Nov-01-09  Jim Bartle: How many yards running for Oregon? Something like 400? I fear for Stanford next week.

Honestly, I felt like somebody watching my first game. I could never figure out who had the ball.

WannaBe: Ducks had 613 total yards, 222 via air, 391 via ground...

The team that is constantly moving/shifting is the team on defence, the team that is standing still is on offense. :-))

Nov-01-09  Jim Bartle: A lot of Oregon plays looked like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bDb...

Nov-01-09  hangingenprise: wow!! redemption can only come on the last day of the season for usc.
