WannaBe: Another not important thing that I noticed, as a premium member when I visit ChessGames.com Statistics Page page, I see ads. Not that a big deal. Sure CG.com have more important things to fix.

Penguincw: These daily updates can be quick. Here I go:

Funniest: User: technical draw

Most Constructive
User: hms123

Jan-12-12  Nemesistic: Funniest: Life Master

This is because his post about being surrounded by adoring, cherubic children wanting autographs ( One of whom called him "A Legend" ! )is so obvously untrue you've just got to laugh at the guy on some level!

And the way he answers ficticious emails here on this site, actually thinking people are stupid enough to believe him is also vintage AJ Goldsby comedy..

So my vote is based on laughing at,rather than with the person..

Jan-12-12  pulsar: Funniest: Nanobrain

Punniest, er, most constructive: Wordfunph

Jan-12-12  frogbert: anyone who will offer an unofficial, temporary count?

Domdaniel: <playground player> Thanks for giving the nod to <Frogspawn>. Unfortunately, it wasn't among the nominees, and it couldn't have been anyway as it's a Forum Name rather than an individual handle.

I'd been messing around with it recently, changing it to things like "Museum of Frogspawns" and "Plain Frogspawn" and "Frogspawn: Levity's Rainbow" ... but you've convinced me to go back to basics. Simple is best.

Who knows? Maybe one day these fine awards will include a category for 'best forum name' ...

  Domdaniel: <votes for today>

Funniest: <Annie K.>

The vote goes to <Annie> for her consistent wit and sophisticated humour. A number of others, such as <Ohio>, <Quythulg>, <dakgootje>, <mworld>, <JessicaFQ> and <everyone> also have a wonderful sense of humour. They light up my forum, and CG too. As do others. But I've decided not to split my vote.

I don't want to *insult* my old pal <technical draw> -- his jokes are sometimes good and sometimes terrible, and winning the award so often has become a tradition for him. Dare I call it a kind of meta-joke?

Anyhow, 'funniest': <Annie K>.

And <most constructive>?

<FSR> gets this one. He can be pretty humorous too, but 'constructively funny' doesn't seem to be an option.

So it's <FSR> for 'most constructive'.

Sometimes you have to tear down in order to rebuild.

Has a wonderful, warm sense of humor that I always enjoy. This year in particular, though, he cracked me up with a comment on a typo by <cg>: chessgames.com chessforum

Most constructivest: <wordfunph>

I know he doesn't really deserve it, but anyone who pays for me a one-year Premium Membership gets my vote.

Jan-12-12  crawfb5: As the old political saying goes, "I can't be bought, but I <can> be rented."
Jan-12-12  Nemesistic: <chrisowen> I want you to imagine waking up one morning only to discover you've totally forgotten how to pronounce vowels and every time you try speak you come out with words like "Klymphy" or "gfytssym"??

That expression coming across your face right now,as you scratch your head contemplating this unfortunate turn of events...... Is exactly what my face looks like when i read your posts every morning!!!

How did you even manage to open an account, you're truly away with the fairies..

If you're nominated i vote you in every remaining category :)

Jan-12-12  TheFocus: I believe that <chrisowen> should be given membership in the Caissar Hall of Fame as <Greatest Poster Ever>.

The first post of his I read, I immediately put him on Ignore, but then people began singing his praises.

So, I took him off of Ignore and, lo and behold, I saw what some people are missing!

You either "get" him or you don't. And if you don't, then I feel sorry for you. You really don't know what you are missing.

Better yet, read his posts with "fun" in mind.

Jan-12-12  sneaky pete: Funniest kibitzer: Phony Benoni

Most constructive (whatever that means): twinlark
