WannaBe: Another not important thing that I noticed, as a premium member when I visit ChessGames.com Statistics Page page, I see ads. Not that a big deal. Sure CG.com have more important things to fix.

WannaBe: Thank you, thank you, I finally got some good sleep last night. =)

The next 'person' is not yet known, I made a post in chessgames.com forum, and I will soon email them, offering the Caissar to be 'computerized'.

If the offer is declined, the next step is to hold another round of nomination, and voting. (But it will be self-nomination.)

Again, thanks everyone.

Jan-15-12  chesstoplay: < WannaBe >

Great job and thanks for doing the Caissars!!

This site prospers because of wonderful volunteers like you.

:)

Jan-15-12  Everyone: Thanks <WannaBe>, but what was that for? :^)

FSR: "I Am Not A Rook" actually got 9 votes for Best/Worst Pun, tying "Drawma Queen."

Votes for I Am Not A Rook, in order: <LoveThatJoker> (on Jan. 13), <dzechiel>, <morfishine>, <Pyke>, <FSR>, <technical draw>, <TheFocus>, <HowDoesTheHorsieMove>, <Diademas>.

WannaBe: <FSR> The vote by <LoveThatJoker> was a day early, the Pun and Analysis voting took place on the 14th.

Here is your post: < FSR: <LoveThatJoker> Thanks, but I doubt that your vote yesterday for "I Am Not A Rook" will be noticed or counted, since it was submitted before the voting for that award had started. Please vote again at WannaBe chessforum. Thanks again! >

And please, in the future, post something like that <DURING> the day of voting, <NOT> when the whole process is over. I posted at least 4, updated vote count.

Jan-15-12  technical draw: Maybe "I am not a rook " is too dated. The youngsters probably never heard of Nixon's famous words. (maybe they never even heard of Nixon). Maybe a newer presidential quote would be, "Read my lips, no new taxes!"

WannaBe: <technical draw> Perhaps, maybe so, youngsters today are weak on history, technology (yes, they can text, use smart phones), but lack 'thinking' abilities... =(

tpstar: <WannaBe> Congratulations on running the most successful site awards ever! This year's edition set big records in overall kibitzers nominated and total votes cast, indicating people took them far more seriously for multiple reasons. As to the personal toll, remember that 95% of the group are good people; take out the Barangay Wesley and that goes up to 99%. :P

I am very sorry that Barangay Wesley members did so much to sabotage the process, especially making all of those personal attacks against you, plus their contrived complaints where sockpuppet handles couldn't vote. Notice how much flak I got over our Wikipedia entry from four years ago, which was all meant to hurt my chances for site awards. I spent extra time here in May and June 2009 due to the Pun Contest, and I could not believe what I was reading on the Wesley So page all the time. That was no fan club, it was a hate group, so I studied the subject because I do my homework before the test, not during. A root cause analysis determined three key people responsible - Norlito, Joselito and Edmund - and the rest mostly went along out of misguided loyalty. The BW are already guilty of driving Wesley So out of here, no matter what else happens in the future. Please avoid the Sulsol Page altogether from now on and let me deal with them alone, which has been the general understanding all along. I planted a reference to the ignore issue in Game Collection: Best Games of 2011 ("Springtime For Svidler") just for us. =)

People outside the BW don't realize that I set the standing site record for avoiding flamebait many times over on the Wesley So page alone. It is all still there on 1577-1646, waiting for Wesley and his parents to read someday. I may have a different perspective on personal attacks due to advanced training in mental illness. We discussed Schizoaffective Disorder and the pathologic need for attention, and note he was the only alternate identity to disrupt the voting. Moving on, the Sockpuppetmaster is a pure sociopath http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html , totally oblivious to anyone else's feelings, but with split personality elements making a curious combination. He was a dangerous opponent as he made a detailed character study of this site, learning most of the established coalitions, but also the precise schedule when the Administrators would be gone (just like <CrackerSmack>). One unrepentant rulebreaker has frequent bouts of Exhibitionism where he flings off his bra and attacks people with his bra, and things won't settle down until he puts his bra back on. Unfortunately Wear the Bra only works on the C-A-R-L-S-E-N page for the time being.

Surely you are exhausted from running the Caissar Awards, but here are some suggestions for our next edition:

1) Best Written Post should finally be split into Best Writer and Best Post.

2) Best Game Collection is traditionally meant for one single Game Collection entry, not a member's whole set, which would disqualify any joke entries of people without any Game Collections.

3) Best Username should be something that can be won only once, so we have fresh entries every time.

4) Consider adding Best Forum Name as a new category.

5) We should have some mechanism to store all of the nominations for future reference, as the whole purpose of the site awards is to be nominated. To that end, we shouldn't allow blanket nominations of one kibitzer for every category, a clear example of sockpuppet mischief this time around.

6) People were trying to help out by posting running updates during the day, yet the Best Game contest specifically avoids doing that as it has been proven to affect the actual voting. Maybe one single update halfway through around noontime but not anywhere near the end.

7) No sockpuppet entries or voting, period.

I want you to spend your time enjoying this site. Let me handle the bullies, the instigators, the sockpuppets and the hate group. The old guard will always have your back. =)
