 | | WannaBe: <RonB52734: With a brief moment online, I agree with everything Robin has just said. I think our position is quite playable here. But let's take our time. <WannaBe>, you are still deppity dawg!> Arf, Arf, Woof, Woof, Arf, Ooooooooo!! (Translation, Yes, sir, okay, yes, sir.) |

 | | WannaBe: Alright, about 45 min to go... anyone changing mind/votes? |
| Feb-11-06 | | Robin01: Go for it! |

 | | WannaBe: Since the next moves were obvious, we are now up to 32...Bxc5+ click for larger viewawaiting white's next move (number 33) |
| Feb-11-06 | | sitzkrieg: Kh1 seems obvious. |
| Feb-11-06 | | RonB52734: Online for a brief moment. Looking good (the game that is). |
| Feb-11-06 | | Robin01: I'm not sure where they are going to put their king. My guess is either h1 or f1, but I think we have to play Bf8 in either case to protect our g pawn. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Cogano: Hello again <WannaBe> & I sincerely hope this finds you well. Thank you for
posting photos from the U.S. Open & for your ever so funny commentary accompanying them. I especially liked your re-Christening of IM Taylor with the addition of the middlename "Toolman"! ROFLOL! Thanks again. Take very good care & have yourself a very good & hillarious day. Cheers mate! |

 | | WannaBe: <Cogano> I am glad you appreciated the pictures. Currently the photo of Dr. Saidy is being used by chessgames.com. You can view it here: Dr. Anthony Saidy It wasn't US open, but 41st American Open, quite different. =) Thank you for the kind words. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Cogano: <WannaBe> Don't mention it mate. By the way, regarding the game you're playing with other chessgames.com members, are other members like myself permitted to comment on the game? Or would that be regarded more as interfering, especially since my comment may aid one side exclusively, or at least more than the other? I'm just curious. I can't say that I've had any wise, cons-tructive observations to make (lack of playing experience & chess understanding: positional analysis, tactics & opening theory, to name just a few)! Thanks again for taking the time to post the photos & good luck on the game. Take very good care & have a very good day. Cheers mate! |
| Feb-12-06 | | Robin01: So far quiet I see. I have posted two of my recent OTB games in my forum if anyone would care to analyze them for me. Thanks. |
| Feb-12-06 | | RonB52734: <cogano> If you look at <me to play>'s profile, it lists the two chessforums where kibitzing might be going on regarding the consultation game. But kibitzing that game should be limited to those two forums (I think it's <who> and <blingice>) so that the players themselves don't see the kibitzing until the game is over. |
| Feb-12-06 | | RonB52734: I see they moved their king to f1. Interesting. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Cogano: Hello again <RonB52734> & I sincerely hope this finds you well. Thank you kindly for pointing that out. I'll check out the two forums you mentioned.
The last thing I want to do is interfere with anyone's game. Thanks again. Take very good care & have yourself a most joyous day, every day. Cheers mate! |
| Feb-12-06 | | RonB52734: <team> I am looking at this and I like Kf7 or Bf8. Right now, g7 is under attack, and the bishop on e6 is very vulnerable, especially to a pin along the e file. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Robin01: I believe if we move the king to f7 then we lose the rook to Qf3+, so that is not good. |
Feb-12-06
 | | WannaBe: I can see why the king went to f1, even though their queen is still on the board, they only have a knight as the other piece with a limited mobility. The king will help, we need to be really becareful of that knight and not walk into a forking scenario. Possible move scenarios are:
33...Bf8, gives g7 pawn protection. And right now, all of white's pawn are on the light square. So our dark colored bishop aren't doing anything. Maybe protection assignment is good? 33...Kf7, gets our king into play, if Qf2+/Qf3+/Qf4+ we duck it behind to Kg8? 33...g5?! this would make our h6 pawn weak, and then we'd have to play 34...Bf8 to back up the h pawn. 33...Ra7 gets the rook into action, but if 34. Qf2/Qf3/Qf4 our king is cut off from the g and h pawns. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Robin01: I think we need to play Bf8 just to help safeguard the bishop and also to protect g7. If they play a move like Qe5 next, then the queen is attacking both bishops and I think we will lose one. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Robin01: In the variations I have been looking at, we actually end up moving our king over to d7 and then over to c8 eventually. I do not think we will be able to hide our king any time soon. It might be good if we could get the knight off the board with one of the bishops, I believe. However, that all depends on the position and I'm not sure white will allow that. |
| Feb-12-06 | | Robin01: We are going to have to be real careful, as <WannaBe> has said. |
| Feb-12-06 | | RonB52734: Ok, I'm sold on Bf8 |
| Feb-12-06 | | sitzkrieg: I vote for Bf8 too. |
Feb-12-06
 | | WannaBe: I'll see you guys in about 5 or 6 hours, since NFL is over, I have a standing Sunday match with a friend of mine in 9-ball. we play best of 7, (or race to 4) then take a short rest(room). Then another race to 4. We play best of 5 matches. =) |
| Feb-12-06 | | Robin01: A quiet Sunday. I like that. We post our move in the morning, I take it. Anyhow, time to drift zzzzzzzz. |
| Feb-13-06 | | Averageguy: <Wannabe> Would you like to play another match? |
